It is very true that you don't need to play to enjoy chess. I really stink, so barely play at all, but I enjoy getting watching people explain things like this. There are so many strange moves that just make no sense to me at all (like Rf7 in #3), but once they are explained, it's brilliant. I too would love to know where these studies/puzzles come from. I am pretty sure there are people who live to design puzzles, but I would guess that a fair number of them come from actual games? I dunno. Oh, and happy b-day!
Thanks for the birthday wishes! Most of the studies are composed and I have ridiculous respect for people that are able to come up with these ideas and then make them work! Sometimes such positions come up in actual games as well which is always very nice also.
Happy ABCDEFGH-Day! :) Chess studies composers (the ones that are still ok) should watch this video and start putting useless pieces on the board - it will be harded to solve it (same as compose it) when there are some meaningless pieces otb :)
Please make this into a series...piece placement and chess studies
Definitely something we can do!
Very Under rated channel!

Yes. We can learn the real value of pieces with a few , let's say a total dozen for both side , pieces included studies. TYVM.
