Unermüdlich verfolgten Bukahara ihren einzigartigen Bandsound, der zwischen Folk, Swing und Pop mit nordafrikanischen Einflüssen vibriert. Im vergangenen Jahrzehnt gab es deshalb auch kaum ein renommiertes Festival für alternative Musik in Europa, auf dem dieses Quartett von Multi-Instrumentalisten nicht das Publikum zum Toben brachte: Juicy Beats, Summer Jam, Fusion Festival, Burg Herzberg - überall ist ihr „Arabic-Balkan Sound“ die Garantie für schweißtreibende Feierei, die Eindruck hinterlässt. Das neue Album „Canaries In A Coal Mine“ unterstreicht den energischen Optimismus der Band so fett wie keines zuvor, sowohl musikalisch als auch inhaltlich. Wenn sie uns in Hamburg besuchen kommen, darf man sich daher auf interkulturelle Flower Power im modernen Gewand freuen.
Vom 16.-19. September 2020 findet das Reeperbahn Festival in einer pandemiegerechten Ausführung in Hamburg, sowie erstmals hier im umfassenden Livestream statt.
Seit dem Debüt im Jahr 2006 hat sich das Reeperbahn Festival zu einem der wichtigsten Treffpunkte für die Musikwelt entwickelt und zeigt, wie sich ein überbordendes musikalisches Line-Up mit musikwirtschaftlichen Interessen und zivilgesellschaftlichem Engagement verbinden lässt.
Neben Konzerten umfasst das Programm auch Formate aus der Bildenden Kunst oder Virtual Reality sowie ein thematisch vielfältiges Film- und Literaturangebot. Die Rubrik Discourse bietet außerdem die Möglichkeit, an gesellschaftlichen sowie kulturellen Debatten teilzunehmen oder sich über den Einstieg in die Musikwirtschaft zu informieren. Im Rahmen von Sessions, Showcases, Networking Events und Award-Shows können Fachbesucher*innen des Reeperbahn Festivals Musik neu denken, erleben und: hören.
Unsere Festivals finden im Zeichen des Miteinanders statt- Rassismus, Sexismus, Homophobie und Ausgrenzung finden bei uns keinen Platz.

Reeperbahn Festival is the biggest club festival in Europe and the largest European platform for international pop culture and the music industry. Since 2006, for four days each September the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, Germany has become the center of the international music world and a sustainable interface between artists, the public, industry representatives and society. The Conference program is aimed at professional visitors from all segments of the music industry from around the world.
