It actually makes sense that riverclan cats would be muscular. Cats aren't made for swimming(unless an aquatic species most mammals aren't) and even short fur becomes very heavy when soaked. That coupled with swimming against currents and I do believe they dive for fish in the books, Riverclan cats would have to be shredded.
Also, they apparently eat better than the other clans, so they’re essentially bulking all the time
They stated that Riverclan is the fattest of the clan while Thunderclan are the most muscular
@@Tomthecat2k24So I know that's true but there are only like two cats in thunderclan that are ever mentioned to be broad anymore and that's Lionheart and Bramblestar (maybe Bumblestripe too but the writers decide if he's chubby or bulky depending on the day and maybe Ivypool because she is somethings said to be muscular).
While in Riverclan you have a ton, Mothwing was consistantly shown as a broad cat even when he size changed, owlnose, podlight, splashtail, I think the cat who's had lots of kids when she not pregnant is too , I believe even breezeheart has been describe as broad shouldered

@@avacadotoast5571I mean, they technically are? They don’t usually run out of food, unless it’s winter and the rivers freeze over. So all they ever eat is protein 24/7 for about 3/4ths of the year, so it makes sense they’d be muscular and buff.

Not canon or a fact, people just like to headcanon that Riverstar was a maine coon since he came from a human-populated area and was described as fluffy lmao
Well, that makes the chances of muscular body type chances higher due to the fact that the reason cats hate water is because their fur gets really heavy after getting out, so if they have a lot of fur like a Maine coon, and they go swimming they must get REALLY buff to withstand the currents and the new weight of their pelt
Graystripe is known to be the fatest most laziest cat in ThunderClan (or something alone those lines) she'd have to be to pull him out of a fast flowing icy river

i always thought that Silverstream was sleek and a little bit fluffy, not really buff. but it does make sense i mean they eat fish and know how to swim so yeah it make sense for riverclan to be strong and buff. but im not sure how i feel about this. don't get me wrong i think that woman who are muscular are great so are cats like not all female cats are sleek, some can be muscular some can be chonky.
