      Adam Leon Kyrie only has a ring because of an injured steph curry, hurt iggy, injured bogut, and a suspension of draymond. Steph only has a ring because of Kyrie and Love injured. Now this year everyone is healthy and so far in 2 games, curry is outplaying Kyrie drastically averaging a double double with 31 points and 11 assists not to mention his rebounds as well tallying a triple dub in game 2

    @carteljameson8395 Před 7 lety +173

    Kyrie outplayed a 60% Steph Curry in the finals last year. Ya'll wanna act like it doesn't matter that Steph was injured. Hell, the fact that he had any good games at all while injured speaks to how much of a transcendent player he is. This isn't an argument. Kyrie looked good when Steph couldn't play at 100%. That's not an accomplishment that should be celebrated. It's something that should be questioned. Steph is a two time MVP. He gets the benefit of the doubt in this argument, not Kyrie. Period.

I actually use to be just like you. I thought Curry wasn't injured either. He's proving you and me wrong now in these playoffs and Finals.

    • @NBAmaster2
      @NBAmaster2 Před 7 lety +3

      Steph was at more than 60% in the finals last year (more like 85%) He wasn't that injured.

    • @carteljameson8395
      @carteljameson8395 Před 7 lety +7

      Yep, he averaged 30 against the Thunder, a team that wasn't very physical. You don't understand. Great players, even while injured, can have great games. But against a team that is physical like the Cavs last year? It's impossible to take the beating and still perform while injured. Especially with knee and ankle injuries, which are the worst kind when it comes to basketball. Steph's shooting is so great sometimes he can perform in spite of injury, but that doesn't mean the Cavs didn't have it way easier defending him.
      Now, they gotta chase him around and they're getting tired while doing it. There's a clear difference between this year and last year. If you can't see it, it's because you choose not to.

      All of Irving's skill sets are for his iso ball. When he is hot, he will destroy you. When he is cold, his game makes nobody better. Curry, on the other hand, is a master at moving without the ball. His presence alone without touching ball is enough to create strong gravity and open shots for his teammates. Which pg is the association right now can do what Curry does? NONE.

    Marcellus doesn't know basketball 4 years ago steph took the spurs to 6 games in the second round with David lee as his second best player. Also bad contract? The 2x MVP is still on that 4 year 44 million dollar deal but let's just spew bullshit because we can right?

    • @kenan-b
      @kenan-b Před 7 lety

      it isn't spewing bullshit he's exactly right lol, 4 years ago was the 2013 season, it was the first season steph was actually able to play and be healthy for most of it, because for his first 3 years (drafted in 2009 playing to 2012) he had shitty ankles and it was a huge question if he was even going to be able to play much longer in the league or not, no one thought he'd be as good as he is right now lmao, that's why his contract Is only $11m per year in the first place, they didn't wanna risk paying him big money if he couldn't stay on the court. Being the best pg in the league though now (between him and russ imo) he'll def get that max contract, and he deserves it too, he's the type of player that can be elite for a long time because his game doesn't rely on athleticism, he's a sniper with crazy handles. but what Marcellus said isn't inaccurate

      Unkown Bih i can elaborate, Ben was saying even if curry doesn't make a shot but he's such a deadly shooter and has great off ball movement that he is able to break down the defense just by running to the arc. KD had about 3 clear lane transition dunks just because curry pulled the defense away from the paint.

  • @LuanNguyen-ls5rt

    There was a lot of talk after last year's finals. Kyrie is an incredible one on one player. He has the best handles, but he can't lead a team. He has never shouldered the responsibility of taking a team all the way. Kyrie has zero pressure because Lebron assumes all of it. Kyrie without Lebron would just be higher ppg. Assists, rebounds, steals would be about the same.

The season before he played less than 30 games and had two surgeries. 2012-13 he had the averages above leading the team to 2nd round of playoffs with David Lee as his second best player. Kyrie at 25: 25,3,5 with LeBron as his teammate. There's shouldn't be a discussion on who's better. Currys a better passer, shooter, rebounder, and leader. Kyrie is a better ball handler and is more athletic, that's it.

    Kyrie is a pure scorer, nothing more, nothing less. If he doesn't score 20+ points in a game, he disappears. Whereas Curry impacts the game on so many levels, for example:
    - He spaces the floor like no other player can, players respect his shot enough to contest it at the logo mark.
    - He averages 5+ reb and 6+ assists.
    I could go on, but Curry is clearly the better players right now.

    The only ones that put Kyrie over Curry is people that despise him. He hits a few shots over him and all of a sudden he's better, gimme a break. Curry is one of the best off the ball player and unselfish, doesn't need to rely on isolations.

      JUAN Hernandez And even if Kyrie is better than Curry in 1vs1 , it doesn't really matter . They are Point Guard , their goal is to make their teammates better and give an impact in the game , not doing some ISO flashy handle and fancy layup.

    I love how people said steph needs to win a finals MVP when he was close to averaging a triple double in the finals this year, KD was just a monster. If you had to start a franchise would you pick steph or kyrie. Most would pick steph because if his overall ability rather than pure one on one scoring. And for under the rim finishing, don't sleep on curry, he has better percentage scoring under the rim with almost the same amount of shots as kyrie

    They are not even in the same league right now. Curry is a game changer that changed the game of basketball. Kyrie at most is just an excellent all star offensive player at this point.
