87-0: NiP's untouchable CS:GO map streak

- When they hear the name NiP, CS:GO fans probably think about the eternally underachieving Swedish team.
But once upon a time, NiP were the best CS:GO team in the world.
Once upon a time, NiP won 87 LAN maps in a row without dropping a single one.
Eighty-seven and 0 is a record that has never been replicated by any team since, and remains one of the most impressive esports records of all time. Eighty-seven is a huge number, and on the surface, it just seems impossible.
Eighty-seven maps is insane.
Here's how it happened.

87-0 is impressive, not just as an Esports streak, but a sports streak in general.
eports is not real sports, no matter what you weebo virgins think.
@@NouveauSuperElite Finally, looking at the definition of what a sport is, games included into professional competitive gaming are undoubtedly real sports. ... Due to its incredibly large competitive format, physical strain, and set of required skills, gaming in esports is just as much of a sport as playing in a game of football.
@@NouveauSuperElite lol someone is butthurt
@@ADC3131 I like CS and play CS quite often. That doesn't mean its a sport if I play it professionally. Call it competitive gaming if you will, but its a bit of a stretch to call it a sport. The guys who founded the esports scene know this and thats why its called "esports" as a marketing gimmick, instead of a sport. If this was a sport, it would be sanctioned and regulated by governing bodies, which it isn't.
@@NouveauSuperElite sports an activity involving exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment
And let's be fair no team will ever come this close to breaking that record

I miss this era so much. Watching them win IRL at oakland twice in two years was an incredible feelings. I wish the best for them
I like how css gets straight up ignored.
Ruuku1 I hate it.
Who cares?
let's be real for a second, source was nothing compared to 1.6. CS 1.6 was and still is the very best fps game. ( except for graphics ofc)
FEED THE HUNGRY TROLL still players and tournaments but less and less each year.
Then there's condition zero....
Was always looking for a Video like this! NiiiiiiiP
”When was the last time u saw a CS:GO team win a Tournament without dropping a map?”
S1imple - hold my AWP
Finally! A feature on the Ninjas! Great work as always
U guys can laugh at me but i still think Prime GetRight is a better overall player than s1mple
Don't worry i agree with you too
Totally agreed bro
Agree. I also think that prime Fnatic is the best team ever. Pronax was something else... I mean, Astralis are great, but Fnatic laid the foundation.
@@Abhi-ff2cr lmao
Lol nobody laugh because it's true tf
4:24 the XGOD actually did look good on his days
He went from good to a handsome devil.
Claiming Dosia doesn't look good already
As if he doesn’t now
But we dont talk abaut thoes dark days
When I was getting into the cs scene I always heard their name being talked about, just to watch them play and get destroyed most of the time. This really helped me understand why they were talked about so much.
It is the most impressive record in esports. Notice that we talk about MAPS, not matches, for me that is the real magic.
I think f0rest and GeT_RiGhT were fucking monsters and way ahead of their time!
Most of the time they won by pure skill and clutches!^^
The goats of cs
@@christophermoltisanti6704 dont forget neo!
@@ekkione9296
Neo was shyt in CS:GO.
Thanks for great content
I hope they come back once again, great video btw
Finally, what i want become true..... thanks score eSports
He just keeps saying 1.6 "one point sex"
This channel is criminally underrated.
Watching this in 2019 :( I'm a huge NiP fan but the drama lately sucks, hope the players get justice for what happened
NIP fan till today, but sad to hear that get_right's retirement is close.
@@bigchonkers4835 it might not be! There's always hope, he might play for a different team like friberg in heroics but it's gona be equally weird to see him in a different jersey
Got this in my rec after the recent vids...l rip NIP
I waited for this :D ahaha
Want to invest in ESL then MTG-B.ST public company in Sweden they also own DREAMHACK ;)
Darkstalkers 3 in the background, Im pround of you scoreEsports
Wait really 87 maps in a row that a crazy
As soon as you cited a Thorin video on this topic I left to watch that
Does anybody know all the wins? who against and when it was? i wanna see all the 87 games all over again.
Great video
Miss those days😢
NiP
I love the word "Sometimes"
Those good ol' days
I miss the good old days :(
dosia scared me no joke, how can one change so much loll
Legends
What's the second longest win streak on record?
2012? Time is flying
what is the purpose of the camera from the side of the face?
holy shit old mirage looks goofy
lol you´re funny. not
finally ;D AND LET'S GO #GONINJAS !!!
This just proves that no one stays on top forever.
HEATON MY MAN
They are getting back to that level slowly
_MDR with dennis slipping into the team and getting used to him they might actually have a chance. draken has got to hit the easier shots more consistently, not like he isn't the most consistent, but he could hit a lot more if he focused more on it imo. If gtr and forest also get a bit more consistent and if dennis uses them properly they'd have a chance to compete at the top again. But until then it'll take a while
No one is ever getting to that level in CS:GO. It's not going to happen.
yee pretty much im possible that anyone will go on a streak like that again in csgo. Astralis just won a tournament without dropping a map tho, best team in the world rn.
woah hi
Matty sup lmao
When I say WASHED....You say UP!
No one seems to mention CS:Source anymore.
so it was pretty much just the fact that there was little competition.
To all of my fellow F1 fans this is Williams but for the E-Sport scene
jesus it's so accurate that it hurts
@@epilogue5345 haha ik right
I actually just saw Astralis drop 0 maps at marseille
imagine their had been majors in 2013
once upon a time
No king rules forever - but they all leave a legacy behind that lasts through history.
87-0 or better will never be seen again - of this I'm certain.
The voice crack tho at 1:50
Best time for cs ever
NIP
why the side view camera angle? Why?
Best angle to view overgrowing mustash...
This and ZeRo's Sm4sh undefeated streak are probably two unthinkable feats.
87-0 legends never die
Wow i never thought they win a lot streak they need to make comeback win or else they can't moving forward
I came after Get_Right announced his retiring
the fifflaren days were the good days
Duncan Thorin Shield so fuckin original lol
Happy looks so different without his glasses
You’ll find this is true for 99% of people.
The Arsenal of CS
0:16 WE HART
They need Heaton
2:54 Karrigan at FNATIC wtf :D
anyone else met HoN ? HoN had the best Esport team ever with 131-0 stay Green .
1:18 yesterday.
"The Eternally underachieving?" is a bit harsh?
seems that way because there were no majors at the start.
They still were in the finals of the first 5 majors. It was a big deal when they finally missed.
It is harsh but true out of all the five major finals they went... 2 of them were favorites to win but didn’t while the other 3,they won 1 against fnatic after some big plays while ldlc was theirs to win but choked and lastly Katowice 2015 was quite clear who was the favorites. In some ways it is underachieving since they’ve kept the same 4 men roster for nearly 5-6 years until Dennis and Rez came...
They arent talking about the roster when they were in there hay day. They were talking about 2018 nip which was players who were old now and a few changes here and there to the early rosters.
I wish they won more majors though. Convinced flusha use to cheat though. Robbed them of two majors.
Which team has the second best streak?
That 87-0 streak is probably second the best streak while on map wins it is the best... But the best tournament win streak belongs to fnatic of late 2015 and 2016 when they added Dennis to the lineup
You didnt mention one man army..... (Allu)
Astralis: I am inevitable
NiP now getting dev1ce: *manic laughter*
thanks for making more csgo contents!!!!
more Dimitri please
All I see is Happy
Ninjas In Pyjamas The Kings of The Past, The Kings of The Future
well here comes astralis
Variance matters.
What is this guy shaking?
In a couple of years I want to see all those stories compiled into a documentary series.
The only thing astralis couldn't achieve
1:54 is that Zeus? lol
I think today's Heroic will beat this streak in 2021
That must have been boring to watch, the same team winning over and over again.
Who is this guy looking at?
You.
What they accomplished is impossible. Get_right was the MVP. He was on another level even in 1.6. Guy is a legend. Also f0rest was as good as neo in 1.6.
The fact they transitioned to csgo so effortlessly shows how amazing they are.
F0rest was better than Neo mechanically and individually. What Neo has over f0rest was his better coordination with his team.
I like this guy :D
Getright, forest, friberg, xizt, fifflaren
Astralis: Hold my beer
It's N-I-P not Nip (like nipple)
Oh thanks for the specification I was about to report this video for being inappropriate because I thought it meant nipple. 👍🙏
*"one point sex"*
legit though old mirage was inferno
Fiffa wasnt problem
even though they lost, they lost 16-14. thats fucking close
I lost 87 maps in a row
i think of bananas in pyjamas
22.01.2020 - f0rest, the last NiP legend and player of legendary lineup, stepped down from the team.
NiP is not real NiP anymore.
The real NiP is Dignitas now lol
Hey Host, Ever heard of ironing your shirt?
do you guys play Counter Strike 1.sex? 2:48 ROFL
Literally swedish
This guys voice are u serious
Narrator always looks like he's holding a hot dog in each hand...
Like you caught him right after he bought them from a street vendor.
And you asked him a question about a topic that had been simmering in the back of his mind, bottled up within him.
So he unleashed his full passionate discourse, and having no place on the street to set down his 'dawgs, he used them to great effect, gesturing with them wildly while he raved.
lmao best comment
At 1:04 , You see their lost match against virtus.pro
If you won 87 MMs in a row you would definitely be global right? No matter what I would assume?
probably
The number 87 it's meaning for "stupid /idiot" in Taiwan... how so concidence LOL.
