It's hard to hate this game even with its flaws
Game looks pretty good but I just miss a good racing game story. None have come close to a good one in ages and the festival thing is played out and doesn’t set it apart much from forza horizon. But it has some good cars, just sucks there’s some major brands missing and things are too regimented. We should be able to use any car for anything and as long as we want IF you changed some parts around on it. Didn’t expect so many restrictions idk why
Not to mention if there’s any timed content that’s just not it in a racing game.
Wish they got rid of the mirror finish on all the wheels n got rid of the ghost cars in freedrive too
They need more styles of pvp with more categories and possibly customizable lobbies for how many sectors or which sector is what to add more long term replaying
I completely agree with you with the grand race, one or two corners at the start should be no collision just to weed out the Rammers😂😂😂
I was kind of disappointed that the new s14 is a street 1 car rather than a drift car. Hope to see more drift cars added. Would be cool to join drift events with friends to try and tandem
Honestly if you like drifting stick to something else. Genuine advice. Try CarX or modded Assetto Corsa

140ish hrs in, been enjoying it still. The grand races and just driving around is a vibe. I dont grind for parts or money really and i played it on hard without assists and had to retry a lot. I dont like how the summits have rewards we got for free w the LBWK supra
I agree with the 7.5 rating. My theory is that they are giving us time to acquire good parts so that we can compete on the playlist when they make them random multiplayer.
I think having the summit on launch wasn't a good idea and could turn players off short term. When I started it was looming over me to get competive quickly which meant I could enjoy the playlist and additional activities. I would have introduced the summit after 3 months so everyone had got the feel for the game and made progress with the cars
If they added the summit that late people would have quit already because besides the summits the only endgame is pvp. Adding repeating crew 2 rewards in the summit and a tinitus inducing audio signature was a good idea. I only started caring about the summit 4 weeks in. So I had plenty of time to enjoy the game and then start prepping for the Ford ft airfold
The thing I really hate when I'm farming legendary parts is: If I get one legendary for brakes and no other legendary part, there is a higher chance of getting another brake legendary than a different part. After some time farming, I'll eventually have 5 or 6 parts of the same (nitros for example). So I'll just have to get one more legendary nitros for the bonus. Then the game will start give all other parts for all other car parts and not a single bonus.
Finally you'll have 6/7 on 3 more sets before you get one set bonus. I tried to have merchant bonus for Alpha and Racing, and I got all other set bonus for both before merchant. So I don't need marchant anymore.
What do you think of the physics while the vehicle is in the air? Like jumping and so on? I feel that is very weird
Did the game improve by now? Like faster ways of making Money? Or better Loot/Rng?
They need to separate Street Tier 1 and 2 parts and give us back quick swap for parts.
In Unbound you still need to brake, you can't just brake 2 drift a sharp corner at 200mph anymore.
Plus grip driving is legit fast now

I have the standard version on disc and have been playing it for about 3 weeks now. My thoughts are that it is enjoyable to play but I have encountered some niggles. I have done all the tasks except the speedboat one, I am doing the challenges but the bike task there is the collection of helmets I know where two are but when I go to get the helmets they are not there and I have 3 things to collect on the start up screen but when I go into the page I cannot see what I have won. Any help will be appreciated. Great review thanks.

I completely agree at the high-end, racing with a wheel is so much faster than racing with a controller
I played it on a wheel, turned off all the assists and switched gearbox to manual. Multiplayer is pure chaos and I was absolutely destroyed by people on gamepads. Never turned the game back on again...
The ghost idea is a good one ..or they could also take out the walls so if you take it too fast you lose alot of time.. the other biggest issue is pvp content

After playing Motorfest, I just found myself wishing they'd backport the driving physics and handling to TC2. It feels great, but the content delivery and quantity in Motorfest compared to TC2 is absolutely horrible.
Im new to the game, maybe im blind or dont get it right but, How do you race your own cars and progress with them so far I finished 3 playlist with loaned cars, I can do races in custom mode but How do I race with other people with my own cars?
I'm thinking about getting the gold edition, my question is this: Does it has temporary unlockables, like battle passes and stuff? Or if i get the game now I will be able to unlock everything?
They need to fix the multiplayer races
in every arcade game controller or keyboard is always better than wheel beauce you get all kinds of assists with controller or keyboard and with wheel it feels way to diferent and harder.
Tuning is my only problem with this game mostly suspension and fitment
I've got a 140 hours on it and am pretty bored with it now done all the playlists a solid chunk of the challenges and that it's boring considering there ain't no other players driving around

About the motorpass cars, most of them are already returning. Everything from season 1 and 2 is already buyable with bucks. And now season 3 and 4 cars are being made buyable for bucks in crew 2. Sometime next year all motorpass cars are buyable. Summit cars are a different can of worms tho. Making them buyable would also erasa all their meaning. And nerfing them so they are never meta is also another not fun option.

they probably wont do much with drag racing since its not the great you go in a straight line 3 times and thats it, nobody that i knew repeated drag race events in the crew 2 besides for parts

My only complaint is the loot system. The RNG is pretty bad. Other than that, I love the game.
I wish the photo ops and things changed every month.. cause once they are done? That’s it smh. No other major ways to get rep except repeat certain races which is boring
Why dont they make it like gta 5 online races, the first 10-20 seconds of the race everyone is ghost so no contact will be done. Also why dont they make online drag races with 10 people, 3 rounds of 1v1s the player with the best time in the end of the 3 rounds wins.

I'm shocked to see such a hype for this game all around. FH5 is boring, but this game is just broken in so many ways, that I stopped playing after a week...
I like the game they could have add more cars like 70s 80s 90 flames come ont when u change gear crew 2 was better for gold parts miss the high way races from the crew 2 free roam could be a lot better map could be better not very easy to find people to play with on this game but apart form them things i mentioned the game is not to bad hopefully there be better content in the furture

The freedrive roaming is an essential feature and it's even required to complete several challenges. so... no, it was not an afterthought. The game is still called "The Crew" and not "The Lonesome Driver" for a reason. Also the ability to complete the summit with friends is essential (slipstream anyone?). It worked fine in the beta and the first two weeks. Now I can't even form a 4 man crew w/o losing at least one driver every few seconds. (My guess is that the lobbies get out of sync due to the consequent escape/rewind-spam we have from farmers.) The ability to create a private freedrive session (friends only) would be a fantastic addition and maybe solve this issue.
Motorfest is already an upgrade compared to Crew 2. Still... more innovative content would be welcome. A closed track grand race is already a great idea. Maybe the ability to start an own grand race with own settings (preset tracks) and filters could be implemented. Like "pick-up only" (I still hope for a Ford SVT Lightning or the Crew1 Ram) or "hatchback-only", etc...
Or dragracing with Streetcars...
There are so many legendary cars missing form manufacturers that are already in the game. (yeah, I know... licensing, that's why we are missing many italian cars from Crew 2), e.g. Audi Quattro (RX), Porsche 959 (HC or SR2), Lotus Esprit V8 Turbo (SR2), OG Austin Mini (SR1), VW Nardo W12 (HC), BMW M1 (SR2) , BMW M3 (E38)(SR1), 70's VW Golf GTI(SR1), Ford RS 2000, Ford Escort Cosworth, Buick GNX, Honda Civic EG Type R, Honda/Acura Integra GSX, Jaguar XJ220(HC), Mazda 3 MPS(SR1), Mercedes G-Wagon (RR XD), Mercedes 190 Evo (SR1), Renault 5 Turbo (RX), Peugeot 205 (RX), Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero (RR), Nissan Patrol (RR), Baja Beetle (RR) just to name a few.... and where are all the sweet subarus? There are a lot more I can think about, especially in the classic muscle car and touring car region. Also LMP Cars would be a nice addition. The List wpuld probably be endless. so I better stop here.... ;)
i like the driving of this game than nfs unbound but honestly the gear drop is a turn off for me

lazy devs. they think 30 FPS is ok for Series S? then I think not to spend my money on this piece of sh1t. Better to play 60 FPS in Forza Horizon 5 or Forza Motosport 😊 good luck!
