*For manual reviewer: This video was filmed in a controlled environment specifically for firearm reviews. All firearms shown are verified unloaded at all times. The parts discussed in this video do not affect the internal function of the weapon, they are external changes only. *
This is definitely good enough for my TX22 Compact range toy.
Nice honest review. I have been trying to decide between the Sentinel and a 407k. Optics planet currently has the Sentinel for$129.....but I think I'll scrape together another $100 bucks and get the 407k.
That's a fantastic price for the Sentinel. You'll be really happy with the 407k though, I love mine. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Did your optic come with the plate specific to a Canik?
It did not. The mounting plate you see in the video is the one included with the Canik. The Swampfox does come with a bottom plate, but it's not a mounting plate; it just sits in between the battery and the slide. Thanks for watching!
Good day. Could you make a video of how the green dot of the sight is adjusted? Thank you
The new one was supposed to be released back in July, but it was a no show.
I have both optics and I really love the sentinel. My only complaint is in full sun, I feel like the holosun is just a bit brighter. In any other situation the swampfox is much more visible for my eyes
Definitely experience this too. The Holosun dot is also crisper for me vs the sentinel (I have astigmatism). Both great units though. Thanks for watching!
Hi there, I just bought a Swampfox Sentinel for my Canik Tp9 Elite SC and I see a kind of reflection on top of the red dot, it has a c shape but backwards, it shows only at outdoor light and on certain objects. I hope you can help me out with this, I couldn't find anything online. Thanks
Got the Swampfox for my Hellcat RDP and I have a Solar Holosun for my AR. Now I regret not getting the solar for my Hellcat.
I scooped mine from optics planet for 129, love it so far. You can tell its not exactly high quality but i think for a tange gun it will do. On my daily i run the mecanik and that quality is much better on the auto bright one. For the sentinel i use the manual.
129 is a great deal. Thanks for watching!
Same a few months ago.
Just sent mine back because it won’t hold zero and turns itself off. Sad, because I really liked it before I put a few hundred rounds through it.
Mine did the same after 200 rounds. I really wanted to like it, but I'm not sure I could trust it, even if they fix it. Still have to send mine back.
Does it come in 7075 aircraft grade aluminum with an ipx 7 water resistance rating?
Correct. The Sentinel's body is 7075, and it's IPX7 rated for water...so it can withstand 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. It's important to note that it's NOT rated for dust (hence the X in the rating). Thanks for watching!
lol
Thinking about a sentinel for my sfx..thanks....edit..i got one off optic planet for 120..love it so far on my sfx METE
The sentinel 1? I thinking of getting 2 Sen 1 . One for my SFT and my P365
@@SKY13. I got the 1 manual in red..really like it
What are the white marks?
They're a quick way to see if the screws have loosened (and thus have affected the optic's zero). Half of the line is on the body of the optic, and the other half is on the screw head. If the two halves don't line up, the screw has moved. You'll see these lines on basically every pistol optic I have. I use a fine tip paint pen to make the lines.
Thanks for watching!
