      @@bconni2 Agreed, but It was a delightful experience amongst the usual Portuguese places. Of course we experienced all the other wonders of Lisbon and Portugal, but when we were waiting for our place to be ready in Alfama, it was a delightful and delicious place to wait and relax after a long flight with teenagers. We went there twice during our week long stay in Lisbon; when we first arrived and when we left. Enjoying travel means finding new and unexpected experiences. Copenhagen Coffee was one of them, and I believe that was the point of these Vloggers too.
      I would love to hear your favorites. We plan to go back later this year.

    Pasteis de Belem (take the train for short ride out of Cais do Sodre to Belem) for the original pastel de nata. And cod (bacalhau) is a staple in Portugal. Try Solar do Duque near Rossio station for great seafood. Local supermarket will give you authentic taste of their canned sardines. Time Market and Baixa are tourist trap areas!

    • @SamYassPM
      @SamYassPM  Před 10 měsíci

      We loved Pasteis de Belem, but not as much as Mantegaria ;) We also loved the cod we had but couldn't go back to film at the spot we had tried because it was closed the next day, haha! We also picked up many cans of sardines from the local supermarkets (even a few that we brought back home with us in our luggage!) and that's definitely something we miss as we can't find such a good selection back here in Canada. We'll try out Solar do Duque next time, thanks for the recommendation!

      We'll add Corallo Chocolate Café to our list for our next visit! We really loved Copenhagen (specifically the location we showed in the video) and visited almost every day for the 8 days we were there. We tried lots of cafés in Lisbon and in our opinion Copenhagen made our favourite coffee :) I think it's something about the milk used elsewhere that doesn't suit our taste and often left us a bit disappointed! That being said there are hundreds of cafés in Lisbon and it wouldn't be fair to say that one is THE BEST. Just our personnal fave! :)
