    This is definitely a track bike , the zip tie on the front fork is use to check the suspension travel to know if u are braking too hard or too soft and also as a marker to adjust the suspension. I dont think it can be used as a rag for leaking oil :P
    Although nice video dude, really important key point.

    A couple things I noticed when you were walking around the bike. The rear turn signals are after market and are underneath the bike attacked to the aftermarket fender license plate holder. Also the rear brake level is also aftermarket and is adjustable to be able to move forward or backward to the comfort of the rider. The fairings are aftermarket as well as you mentioned. Just my two cents on what I noticed.

    Very good video. Most things mentioned, chain, brakes, tires, seals etc are consumables and shouldn't necessarily be a deterrent from buying. They could be totaled up for bargaining leverage if your lucky. Also don't rely solely on a low odometer reading. On most bikes and this bike in particular it can be disabled in about 10 seconds.

    How about the engine and transmission, how can we assure that it is in good-ish shape?
    Oil and water levels can give a hint (if its suspiciously low, for example), but its easy for the seller to lie about.
    Specially the sporty bikes which usually suffer more abuse than usual, like revving and while stopped, burnouts, etc, which put a huge load on the engine.
    I know that as part of R&D the big makers usually test for reliability (Suzuki for example kept a GSXR redline for 24h+ to evaluate wear), so this shouldnt be a concern, but still is one thing that leaves me unsure about picking a cheaper one.

    • @RKMotorsports
      @RKMotorsports  Před 4 lety +2

      I let the bike run and listen closely to the motor for any ticks/ knocks or any abnormal noises and make sure there is no smoke coming out of the exhaust. As far as the transmission, the only way to know if that is good is to take the bike for a test ride

    there's too much coolant in that bike . always stay about 4 MM under the MAX mark . for all vehicles .

    you create a waterleak and oil leaks . over filling .

    Key things are salvage titles. Cracked cases/oil leaks-> oil starvation. Check for a cracked frame. Title matches the frame VIN. Person selling is the person named on the title. Bike should run, always. These are the key things/reasons to walk away. Everything else is manageable. Reason this guy cheers so loud when a bike first starts up is because he took on a huge risk in flipping non-running bikes- profit easily becomes a loss. Last key thing, never buy a bike from bike flippers that have owned the bike for a couple months or never titled it in their name- just left the old title unsigned from the previous seller. Engine condition and frame integrity aren't they're concern- this channel proves it..

    • @RKMotorsports
