    The sound system in the old 2006 Flagstaff had to go. In this video I show you how to upgrade your old sound system to a new system that has great sound and all of the new technology that you would expect like Bluetooth, WIFI, aux input, etc. The new stereo also came with a backup camera (not needed) and a remote (needed) so you can easily change modes or turn the volume up/down from anywhere in the RV.
    It wasn't hard to take out the old stereo. Just be sure to get the wiring harness from the old stereo. You'll need this to connect the old one with the new one so you can easily plug into the system.
    I'm very please with the functionality of the Podofo. This was a very inexpensive solution that just works.

    Good video. Curious why you didn't drive the speakers with at least one external amplifier? And upgrade the low quality paper speakers 🔊 while you were at it

    So does it just play on all the speakers all the time? How would this work for outdoor speakers?

    I just got into a chariot eagle park model and I noticed that there is a built-in speaker system with a harness output how would I get an adapter so that I can plug it into the TV so that I can hear TV sound through the built-in speakers in the ceiling great video by the way

    • @WillMosbey
      @WillMosbey  Před rokem

      The TV should be easy. Any audio output on it would work. Probably the easiest would be regular RCA outputs. The question would be what input does the sound system have that you can connect to? Wish I could see a pic.

    Hey, great job on the video.
    I'm trying to replace the exact same Concertone unit in my trailer. I'm getting hung up on the speaker zones. The Concertone has three speaker zones.
    How did you deal with that? Or did you just wire it so they all are active all the time?

    • @WillMosbey
      @WillMosbey  Před 2 lety

      There were only a couple of ones I wired together and I believe they were the rear speakers. Everything else was wired with it's respective position. My concertone showed the wiring diagram on the back. I tried to match it up the best I could with the new radio.

    Does that little stereo play DVDs? Are rv speakers 4 ohm, or 8 ohm, and does that radio work properly with them? My DVD player won't play anymore, and I'm also wondering if there's a way to just hook a DVD player up, but don't know how to get it to play through the rv speakers.

    • @WillMosbey
      @WillMosbey  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah hard to find stuff that plays DVDs anymore. I too have a portable DVD player that connects via USB. I would probably hook the DVD player up to the tv either through HDMI or composite AV cable. Then just play the sound like normal through the RV stereo. Should work fine.

    • @WillMosbey
      @WillMosbey  Před 2 lety +1

      I'm not sure what ohm the RV speakers were but if I had to guess I would say 8 ohm.

    Hey just cought your radio install didn't look to bad. Question u said it had a back up camera couldn't you hook it up to a small monitor or the radio mount outside as a security camera just a thought

    • @WillMosbey
      @WillMosbey  Před 24 dny

      I actually installed a backup camera by wiring it to one of the red marker lights for power. The receiver/monitor them plugs into a cigarette lighter in the cab and connects wirelessly. Works great.
