I like the air forks. I got the 300sx. 47 hours on it now. Only issue was a false ceck engine light caused by accidentally hitting the start button while running. ECU flash fixed it. Always ran flawlessly and my bike was the first available in Arizona. So it was an early production model. Not sure why it seems like some bikes have issues. My friends new ktms have also been perfect.
Awsome review... me and my dad are looking at a new bike for me and we are debating about getting a ktm 125 or crf 150rb... you review has helped me so much 😊
@adoyle66 I know someone that had a husky and sold it because it was way worse, especially because husqvarnas airbox is more air tight. It wouldn’t even really run at all.
Can it handle big guys? I am 6’3” and 230lbs. Years ago my Kawasaki would work well but it was in 1990 and it would burn clutches up and I was only 210 back then. I’m thinking these have 10 hp more so I would think the clutch assembly is stronger as well. I have 250’s and a 450 now but I want a bike with less power
I’m not sure how it would do with a bigger rider I weigh 160 so it’s hard to say but I will say I had a 2004 cr 125 and a 2002 kx 125 and both of those were way slower and way less powerful than this 23. So I would say give it a shot or look for a ktm 150sx. 40 hours on my stock clutch and if you watch my videos you can see I beat up my clutch so I think it’ll work.
Is it good for me i am 161cm and 12years old and a bit heavy.i know how to ride so i am like a pro but on a 50cc.and last question do you need to warm the bike first?
If you ride a 50cc chances are you aren’t a pro 161 cm is a little small but is very possible you technically don’t you just start the bike and go although it is a good idea to turn it on and let it idle for about 20 seconds
@@FullThrottleEditsu want to be running 100+ octane will help with detonation also take the pipe off the ecu work with the stock pipe and doesnt have the parameters to give the extra fuel for the pipe
@@FullThrottleEdits do you have more information on that? Online I can only find talk about the dealer updating the bike when plugged into their system, but most dealers not even knowing an update exist. I didn't see anything about a crank sensor.
I will be making a video on this soon after 55 hours and one rebuild but the secret to all the issues for me at least, was the squish gap is wrong from the factory, causing all the detonating issues. The bike has not skipped a beat since a top end was put it and I’ve never had an aftermarket tune or anything. Still loving the bike after the chaos when first buying.
the pure fact you count hours proofs these bikes are expensive garbage made to brake...... theres nothing worse than a bike that brakes on you on the middle of nowere in a montain...... buying and promoting this garbage just make manufacteurs take adavantage as they make most of the money from parts and maintenaince.
ehhh cant agree with that at all. you should look at it from a different point of view. Ktms previous gen was a great bike some of the best 2 strokes ever to come out. so now you're gonna fault them for being the only manufacture to continue to advance the two strokes when they are having problems with a whole new platform literally redesigned the whole entire bike... this happens to car manufacture all the time

what octane fuel do you use in it and where do you get it?
Spring forks are only for the off-road bikes in 24
how long to reach the engine
I have the same bike I just got to 20hrs with zero issues amazing bike
is the bike still going good 2 months later?
@adoyle66 once I did a top end I have not had it cut out whatsoever it’s been amazing
@@FullThrottleEdits If you had your knowledge and didnt have the ktm would you rather the husky or the ktm?

@@FullThrottleEdits oh thats not good, also how what would I get first after having the bike? my friends have told me to get an ecu.

I have the same bike but i cant find no recalls for the 2023 ktm 125sx on the ktm website where are the recalls listed
Your dealer will have them on their computer

Just get an 85 bigwheel
Ur to short and a ktm 125 is probably way to fast for you
should i get this bike if i want to start with riding?. I know the basics like shifting and stuff like that.
Yes, great bike to learn on especially with it being a fuel injected 2 stroke it’s really smooth and easy to handle.
Do you think it’s comparable to the 4 stroke you had or not really?
Yes, way lighter, way more fun and can compete with 250s
What fuel and oil, mix ratio are you running?
Redline Oil 40:1 91 gas

How did you fix the detonation
The newest update with the crank positioning sensor bracket and new maps

@ryancravens8470 I screwed that up in the video, it was a crankshaft positioning sensor bracket not just “crankshaft positioning sensor”
@@FullThrottleEdits was there anything you needed to do, or was it just take it to a dealer? I *should* be picking up a NOS 23 sx125 this week.
@ryancravens8470 the dealer did everything for free, make sure they fixed all the recalls before you leave with it
So 9 months later are you still stoked, any more problems?

I have a new 2023 KTM 125 XC and it has already blown 9 spark plugs
Switch to a br9 plug

You should put a Doma on your bike
I need to get it tuned honestly but might move to a 250sx
