One of the show’s defining moments. This will always be one of my favorites because you get to see all the different sides of Hank Voight. It starts off in the beginning with Voight the family man celebrating his grandson’s birthday with his son, daughter in law, and foster daughter at his home. Then they get the case of the murdered woman a single mother and chasing leads is Voight the cop the man who seeks justice for the victims and their families. Then finding Justin shot in the head and on the verge death where it shows who Voight is at his core the grieving father who is on the warpath for the blood of the one who did this to his son.
I agree it is one of the defining moments
Didnt Justin die tho? Makes it even worse for the guy who shot him
This episode really hits at your heart strings. Justin didnt deserve to die like that
Wait, Justin ended up dying? No wonder Voight was pissed.
@@SoulOfJustice1994 Voight gets justice for his son in the end of this episode. The monster that kills him gets what he deserves with mud in the rain
@@AdrianxAxT - Good.
What episode of this is it? Thanks
@@SoulOfJustice1994 yh I didn’t know he died in the end Either. 😔
Don't cross Voight when he's pissed, you won't like it
Guy said everything he knows and still got screwed over by Voight, just don't exist at that point.
yeh or your face meets the stove
He was a straight villain hes so much calmer now
Voight: don't make me angry. You won't like it if I'm angry....
@@creatip123 true
Voight's reaction after seeing justin in the trunk had me emotional, but the guy's scream after being burned on the stove got me- that was agonizing.
Voight lost so many people: His son, his wife, his best friend.
Just so sad....
Halstead lost too many people
He also lost Erin 😪 when she left
And his daughter died after birth as well 😢
A Chicago Horatio
Man that guy started talking immediately when they barged in, but then again he just took a punch in the gut and the guy said "he was my son". That and turning on the stove. Yeah he knew better than to beat around the bush, straight to the point. And even then when he's said everything he knows, he still gets his face burnt off.
Coz thats how Voight polices plus he wouldn't say where the man was hiding
He started talking faster when he saw the "stove".... Stoves are great things, they can cook food as well as people's faces
The moment Justin got involved this case became personal for everyone on that team and then it was over for those criminals
Voight is just a mob boss with a badge
I need a friend like him🙆♂️
We all need someone like Voight
He is just the biggest badass in Chicago
Thats what im bouta say
Otherwise known as “a cop”
I like how everyone just stands as the victim is getting burned by voight’s anger
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nothing is more scarier than a highly trained father seeing his son like that in the trunk of a vehicle om the verge of death and not want revenge and justice for his som
Yeah, sure, don't we all love living in a world where police officers can torture people for information?
To be fair, what else can you do? I certainly wouldn't want to be the one to try and stop him 🤣
@@atrumluminarium You immediately remove him from the case

It’s on prime
It’s cool to see the different Chicago emergency services come together to each other’s shows
I feel so bad for Voight having lost Justin, Voight is such a good character he didn't deserve to have his son killed 😭😭😭😭😭😭. But he did the right thing going out for revenge
He didn’t deserve it but he wasn’t good
@@strawberrysundae_megan anyone who tries to mess with Voight they have chosen death ☠️💀

@@ajbhuiyan4589 I swear you changed what you wrote and that’s good. Also if you go on Chicago fire you will see that voight is a bad cop and he abuses his power
@@ajbhuiyan4589 on Chicago fire he frames a firefighter for drugs because his son committed a crime and the firefighter was gonna get him arrested
The way Antonio took the baby
This is the one thing I love about Chicago P.D and Chicago Fire is that they treat each other like family
I feel really bad for Voight and his family. I could understand his anger with his team, and not wanting them to be there
What do you mean? He wasn't angry with his team! He just didn't want to pull them into something he knew was likely to come back and bite him! As Voight says beautifully in one episode,'You don't ever have to repeat something you didn't see or hear!' He is the leader of the team. He wants to keep them clean so they can do their jobs without anything clouding their judgement. X
*While in reality, Carl would sue and win massively against CPD due to torture by Hank which fired after IA investigation.*
Show ends with Voight and his team incarcerated for attempted murder, injuring and torture with no parole
They would probably kill him tho
@SilexplSCT uh no offence but uh no he wouldn’t especially since him
Admitting to voights crimes plus the evidence would result in him being imprisoned if
Voight told them why he did it.
Well, since this is a work of fiction it doesn't matter what would happen in real life
@@WMO88 does it I never saw that bit
The pain when he yelled in the hospital
When hank saw Justin I started crying lol
Me too
Same here.
I love the collaboration between Chicago PD and Chicago Med so awesome so relatable so realistic
So crazy how that perp slipped and fell face first on the stove like that 🙄
the way he grabbed the baby when she seen justin in hospital
I've seen a lot of people say "get voight arrested for injuries on suspects" or "get him fired" or "he's a mob boss with a badge". But in this instance, consider it's his son that was shot and eventually died, any man or woman, would want the blood, bone and flesh of the individual that did that to their own flesh and blood, be it child, sibling or older relation.
I agree like family is family wouldnt anybody do the same and plus not everyone is willing to do justice this is why people have to do everything theirselves and put it in their hands even if its going to risk putting themselves on the worst side of the law
When I saw the title my brain said:You know what this means right "It's VOIGHT'S SON"
Yall don't know how much pain voight has been through
Ye he lost his wife as well
Hank Voight and Jack Bauer team up would be immense
Off offf the duo we didn’t know we need
I love it how voight burns his face if that was real that guy would probably Sue the police department and sue voight
With which witnesses?🤣 police never sell one of their own.
@@londimkhize9429 well they do and even have in the show
if it was real, it probably wouldn't have happened
Ya
Well he didn't burn his own face. And the wh*re is a witness in that she provides a timeline
He just burned the guy's face then he say Relax...crazy
I love how they just let voight scar the guy
You don't mess with Voight's family.
I agree
well done pissing off the most scariest man in chicago
🤣
I hate how Olive was the one who wanted to pull the plug on Justin, only been in his life for a short time, should have been entirely Hank’s decision 😢
Yeah it broke my heart when Sharon said to Hank that Olive wants to withdraw life support! The light just went out of Voights eyes! X
You see how those in higher authority just do whatever they want to do.. I understand that his son was fatally shot, but he had no right to torture that guy even though he is a murderer..
Don’t be stupid you criminal lover.
6:13 the way he was looking at her ayo
It is difficult to lose a child while being a cop, but vengeance forces them to cross the line. Whatever job you take either; cop, soldier, firefighter, or security guard; this was never about receiving badges of honour or being authoritative: this is about facing your old and new fears in the real world with real horrid problems. Whether you let fear takes control of your whole body, or control it and consider it as a teacher to help you know what opportunity you would have to save lives in the middle of a stressful incident. But breaking one law just to seek vengeance, it's never going to end well unless you make the right choice.
Hi! This isn't a criticism or an attack, but simply my opinion: being a soldier is _very_ different to the other jobs on your list, the motivations for serving are _very very_ different than applying for civil or civilian jobs, and the purpose of a soldier is just about the exact opposite as those of the other jobs that are listed. I also don't think it's right nor fair for person A to "tell" the general public why persons B thru ZZZZZZZ choose to do what they do, and that boiling the decision to volunteer to put the safety and security of your nation and her people above the value of your own life down to "badges of honour and being authoritative" is somewhat belittling to say the least..
To elaborate, and with the utmost respect and admiration to the brave, hard working women and men who work these jobs:
The purpose of a police occifer is to help people, save people, and make society safer for people. Sometimes that puts them at risk of violence, sometimes it puts them in a position where they have to do violence, but they also resolve neighbour disputes and sit in speed camera vans for eight hours a day. They're primarily _"helpers",_ and we're lucky to have them looking after us.
The purpose of a firefighter is solely to rescue people, save people, and help people. They're there night or day, rain or shine, ready to pluck us from the jaws of death, to run _in to_ the bowels of hell so they can drag us out of the heat, flame, and smoke in to the cold, clean, fresh air outside. Now I have to say, I'm not prone to panicking, and like to think I'm fairly resilient, but as for being a firefighter? No way, not happening, you can poke it. I've been in/involved in/set on fire far more times than is reasonable, and I have to say it's fcuking terrifying. They're helpers, savers.
Security guards reduce shoplifting, deter people from going in to building sites at night time, stop people from wandering in to places that are out of bounds, things like that. Whilst it's not without risk, their primary functions are to look vaguely intimidating, check ID badges, and tell off old ladies who walk straight past the _"This section of the museum is CLOSED"_ sign. It's a competent person to call 999 in an emergency, operate CCTV camera's and gather evidence for when the police show up, then manage crowd control once they do. They're helpers.
Soldiers _(at least those who serve in the Regiments rather than the Corps')_ are the opposite of this. Strip away the public relations spin, the fluffy puppies, and the 'adventure training' with Don't Stop Me Now by Queen playing on continuous loop in the background, and you'll find the primary function of a squaddie is to kill people. To do lethal violence on an industrial scale to people who seek to harm others. When diplomacy, negotiations, political discourse, sanctions, and everything else has failed, it's a heartbreakingly sad fact of this barbaric world we live in that sometimes there is no other option to protect the people and things we value so deeply from those who would seek to harm them than to destroy those who wish to do so.
I'm a firm believer that extraordinary tasks like this should only be carried out by enthusiastic, willing volunteers. A lot - not all but a lot - of men who fall in to that category are not always upstanding pillars of the community who watch Songs of Praise while eating a small bowl of chicken soup then go to bed at 1900hrs to be up bright and early for bird spotting club. There is a need for and a supply of _(albeit a dwindling, very much reduced one in todays world)_ rough, hard men who take pleasure in and gain gratification from hurting other people, who would naturally do extreme violence to others, that can be at least partially trained to respond to commands. Like how we use German Sheppard's as guard or attack dogs because they're easily trained, will tear off flesh and shatter bones on command, but also are the only breed on Earth that will _release_ on command every single time, even when they're in "the madness" or a "blood frenzy".
As the saying goes; _The meek sleep soundly in soft warm beds only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf._ It's not about badges or about honour, often it's a deliberate choice to follow instincts.
@@Real_Steve_Sharpe What a block of words. But I thank you for your advice.
this scene is so unrealistic. the suspect hadn't been proved guilty, and even then, you can only use REASONABLE force. burning his face on a stovetop is NOT reasonable, and a police officer would be fired for doing that.
This show is what you wished happened to these despicable criminals
In reality they wouldn't let him live to talk.

That was the best episode of chicago pd for sure.

anyone notice the team getting on it to hold the baby and the mum quickly?
I almost cried when I seen hanks son was found even though I all ready seen this one
Was this the same son that caused an accident, and afterwards Voight tried to get his son out of trouble by framing grieve-stricken parents for the injuries of their child? If so, good riddance.
Yeah ngl Voight was introduced as a villian with that story
This has become like a addiction to me i cant stop Binge Watching these Videos
Since when can emotionally involved cops handle cases like that?
Man that stove thing was a bit unnecessary.
Honestly Voight can already be extreme to get information, be with victims he doesn't know or his crew, now with his family....he really becomes a whole new "monster"
no, it was necessary! Stop defending the criminals.

Ah but Jay NOW (in recent episodes) is upset this is how Voight is.
Jay, darling, standing up for this for so long THEN claiming moral highground makes you a hypocrite, you should've left YEARS AGO.
Yeah. Of the two Halsteads, at least Will has a level of self-awareness and actually suffered the consequences of his malpractice. Jay is a huge hypocrite and so is most of his team.
absolutely agree
I get it, his son was nearly killed. So why have him work this case??? He's too emotional and personally invested in it. So much so he uses torture/brutality to interogate the guy
Hank was actually told to step aside by the chief, he just refused to until he caught the person responsible for Justin's death.
His exact words to his superior were, 'If you want to take me off this case, you'll have to put a bullet in my head!' X
