I was thinking exactly the same 1800 meter a second is more than twice as fast as a .308 bullet. naan, someone did not do their homework.

hear me out, why not use a super cheap material for the FPV drone`s hard parts, like frames and other critical structures on the drone out of wood? it would tap into an untapped labor pool and/or resource pool, that and it is way cheaper. drone people would know what kind of parts could be made out of the cheaper than carbon fiber parts, yeah its a bit heavier buuutt you could bolster your supply of FPVs quite rapidly especially with CNC production methods.
The russians have used wooden drones for awhile. Australia make cardboard drones with some sent to Ukraine.
@@bgregg55 i heard about that i was just thinking it would be faster and cheaper to build the non aerial drones out of wood, you can do aerials but eh their structural parts are made super fast because of global demand, where as trench clearing drones would benefit massively, that and im a professional a-hole and i think it would be funny if they took the trees from combat zones so there is a lot less cover and L.O.S would be unobstructed, if you would be so kind what can i do to help ukraine other than sending in land based and sea based (super easy) drone schematics? I am stupid good at engineering but noooot much in the social category. i have a method to produce cheap 155mm rounds at a stupid rate and, i love this part, they are made out of all the "armored vehicles" ole pooty poot sends to become scrap. i dunno if they are casting rounds or not, break the machines down, melt them, have a literal conveyor of 155 molds being continually filled by the melting furnace. Dunno if they are doing that or nah just throwing it out there. If done right you should be able to make a couple hundred thousands of them in a week or 2.

During Vietnam war that is pretty much what the US Army intelligence did to freak out the Vietnams! Somebody made this scary audio tape with echo effect, in Vietenamese of course, that the Americans would play at night where the Cong were sure to hear it - sometimes from helicopters, sometimes from speakers or vehicles. The voice claimed it was a dead spirit, trying to warn them from beyond the grave, to give up their fight and "Chieu Hoi" (come over and defect from the VC/NVA) . You can hear this tape on YT and it is indeed, creepy as hell. It's not hard to imagine that at night such a psy-ops recording could be terrifying.

If Ukraine don't take the initiative of making the FPV drone turn into weapon of war, Russia could easily invade Ukraine. So don't rely too much aid on . NATO military aid ,US aid some NATO member countries are reluctant to give military aid to Ukraine. So is it wrong wanting some accountability from Ukraine where it’s spending the cash the US sends it? We are paying for weapons, their pensioners, and to keep its government afloat. We’ve already seen where some minister have “diverted” funds. The US is about at the point where our interest payment on the debt is about equal to defense spending and social security spending. Ukraine was a kleptocracy before the war, throwing billions at it does not seem like a good idea without some measures of control as to the spending of that money.
