The inferior epigastric artery is a branch of the external iliac artery and not he femoral artery. Please correct. Demo was however good and useful

I have been having a hard abdomen before it was just dull pain. i had a xray and they didnt see anything but now thats its tight I want a ultra sound but they are telling me they cant help find hernias and keep pushing a ct scan on me which is high in radation. Sucks.

I had my 2 my Inguinal Hernia in 2014 still my left side It has a swelling since i went back to hospital they said nothing wrong i just rubbing A535 ointment help me little bit having less having pain

Is it normal for one side of the body for the inguinal canal to stick out a little more? I dont think I have a hernia but my right side does stick out a little more the whole way down.
Same but mine doesnt bulge as much, i got no symtpoms of cancer so i think im ok, it moves and goes down and it strains a lot
did you go for doctors check up or ultrasound.
@@Godfrey.. no i roughed it out and it got better. I can still feel it after a long night drinking or if i stand funny all day for example at work. The constant tension of mussels makes it flair up i think.
@@ruebendiditfidget2702 lol but i would advice you to do a medical check up on the ultrasound, it might be okay for now or year but its weakening the area and it can end up causing damage please reach out to a doctor soon, just having a little care lol.
Is Ultrasound good for diagnosing/finding umbilical hernias? Even if they are small unbiblical hernias.

What I thought was a hernia turned out to be a torn abdomen muscles. Almost all hernia symptoms, pain, full feeling, and some nausea.
CAT scan with contrast revealed the tore muscle but the radiologist didn't note it... an experienced surgeon specializing in hernias spotted it.

what code(s) must doctors put on ultrasound request for this test? I live in the U.S. My doctor put down ultrasound, complete abdominal, and the tecnician refused to test below the liver pancreas and kidneys. She wouldn't tell me the correct code and said the doctor is supposed to know. So where does this leave me? Is there a ultrasound codes website for the correct code for testing femoral inguinal hernia. I am a 69 year old female with a visible palpable lump in the right groin area, very low between the pubic bone and upper thigh. Thanks for any info you can provide
Right Groin ultrasound or soft tissue-abdominal WALL ultrasound. With an Indication Rule/out right Inguinal Hernia. The technician/technologist(I doubt they were a technologist if they didn’t verify the order), should know better than that I’m sorry that happened to you.
Well Comented. Had tô Develop Anesthesia in Wich The Patient Did Not Need tô Sleep. Develop Sophisticated Anesthesia For Hernia Surgeries .

I had an ultrasound, for inguinal hernia, and when the doctor looked at the pictures he immediately sent me for a ct scan
Why
I honestly don’t know. I think maybe the nurses were slow that day. I had a small hernia and I ended up getting it repaired.

Most of hernias are due to born defects on anterior wall, and present when patient is adult and so abdominal muscle wall has enlarged and for this the born defect has enlarged as well. Surgery resolves very well a great majority of hernias.

@@universalsoul7653 i have no idea, ive had multiple blood tests ecg's ultra sounds and yet nothing was found however it couldve been growing pain. It stopped hurting now but i also had folate deficiency anemia which might have interfered with the intestine.
I had my ct scan and colonoscopy,all went negative.I was advise to do Hip ultrasound,now the doctor emailed me I got hernia_ my feeling is like burning on that specific area,when I press its bloated and tight and it’s a continues spasm and pain.
Dear friends...I need your advise...I had a prostate operation, results of that I got hernia ..that's why they say..I dont have a bulge in my body but I have got a hardness in my groin right hand side of my body I could feel it hardness as thick as my little finger.

@@yasyes5107 Hi.yes I did go to Doctor at a private hospital he suggested ultrasonography scan which came out 2 hernia on both side.
He offered surgery but I declined it.as a single man how could I have a surgery on both sides..I'm not a rich man I cant hire to people look after me.
I have no relatives as well.im an orphan grew up at a orphanage.
But this year I admitted to A&E at least 7 times.
All the doctors recon that I have no hernia. So that doctor from the private hospital wanted me make some ££££$$$$

2 years have swelling near private part and so much pain in stomach area. So doctor suggested to test for hernia. But there is nothing found in ultrasound report. So what was that swelling?also this pain was first time
Could be a poor scan... many US techs don't know what to look for or how to scan correctly.

Your demonstration is focussed on males, it is relatively easy to identify in males, in females, you need a totally different approach to identify them, eg bearing down whilst scanning, not lieing down whilst scanning etc.
Lifetime risk to men 27-42%, women 2-5%. Wonder why it’s focused on males. Also if you paid enough attention you’d hear him clearly state “bear down/Valsalva/strain, lastly stand the patient up and repeat above steps for smaller hernias”.

I will not have any more sonogram like this unless spouse present if done by opposite gender staff. Not stripping anymore for them and having the receptionist in as her chaperone. In fact will look for a procedure center where I can have a male.
