Love your videos. Most of the ideas of London,Jobava london, caro cann learned from your rating climbs.
Thank you❤️
He's a natural teacher.... Really enjoy his videos and listening to how he's thinks. Just picked up his course on Chess able on the London opening -it's well worth it. Hope he does one on the Caro
I love this series
Great content as always. You seem to go for g6 vs. many sidelines.
There is also an annoying sideline where they prevent you from developing your light bishop by taking control of the developing squares first.
And then I guess you can also go g6 to enable Bf5 & if they trade the bishops, you double your pawns but clamp down on e4.
I remember Stockfish recommending chasing off the light bishop with your queen side knight right away but you end up in a weird move order that deviates from the typical caro-kann.
I forgot the exact line now, just recall the f5 and g4 squares aren't available. It's some nifty move order a ~2200 Chessable author is teaching his students.
Thanks a lot buddy! I do go for g6 occasionally yes! (Mostly vs Ng3). Would be much better to let me know the exact moves so I can think of the line. Thanks for engaging here!
@@AlexBanzea Think the line goes like this:
e4 c6, d4 d5, exd5 cxd5, Bd3 Nf6, h3...and both f5 and g4 are covered.
The better line is probably Nc6 instead of Nf6 so that white has to respond with c3. Giving you time to develop Bg4.
Guess that was my mistake in the move order. But yeah, the idea behind those lines is to prevent the typical development of the light bishop.
Some wild games on this one.
عالی ،excellent
wow that long castle in the anti-caro kann at the first of the video was super ballsy from white lol.
Really bad haha
How has the fantasy variation not shown up in this series? I feel like I face it a lot and that's where I have trouble. Just gotta do my homework. Love the content though! Keep it up!
I literally never faced it so far and I got to 2350 haha
It's amazing to me. I probably get it roughly 20 percent of my caro games at 1200

I always enjoy playing against aggressive people, they are usually too aggressive and make blunders where its easy to punish them!
Hi Alex, im a big carokann fan. At my level i'm having some problems playing the tartaower properly (2100 rapid lichess). So i thought i would play the classical line with Bf5, is it too drawish? What do tou think about that variation thanks.
Bf5 always felt a bit dry to me with easy play for white. I prefer Tartakower nowadays, but with a decent amount of studying any system is playable. Even the Karpov variation with …Nd7
@@AlexBanzea Thanks for the reply, very kind 🙏
Move onto.. theee fallowing video
yy
It was a draw if queen took rook in d3 and knight d3
I’m sorry knight d5
Can you actually play the Caro Kann against anything at 2300+?
Of course!
loose-aggressive? must be a poker player.
Hi Alex. Please don't use God's name as a swear word.
Jesus dude 💀
Just stop to say "Jesus Christ" PLEASE!
Don’t watch lol
@@AlexBanzea why I should not continue watching?! Lol to you
