Arooj Aftab worked on Residente's Grammy award winning song along with the Oscar shortlisted film, Bittu. Arooj Aftab resides in Brooklyn, New York and is merging Sufi music with contemporary Jazz. If she was talentless and only was gaining traction because of her gender (which doesn’t happen in the real world) then wouldn’t a more talented woman in her genre be gaining traction faster?
