Oooh finally an attempt at a The Movies successor, it was such a niche but excellent gem of gaming.
I remember in the sims 3 I would use 1,2 or 3 to change game speed. hahaha. This game is giving off sims 3 vibes and I'm living for it.

Really interesting and incredibly detailed. It's a fascinating look at what it might take to produce, direct and act in a movie. Just this brief look makes me feel as if I really visited a film studio, went behind the scenes and even dove into the life of the glitterati. I like it a lot, but I'm afraid I would get lost in all the micromanagement needed. Like anything, I suppose I would get used to the complexity involved, but without that tutorial this would be a really steep learning curve for me.

I think it is a step backwards from The Movies game. You could basically make short movies which you cannot do in this game. It is just a reskinned ordinary tycoon game made a hundred times. Quite unfortunate.
Your movies are saved and you can watch them in this game.
@@ggregd I would not call those movies... of any length. Play The Movies and you will see how much a step backward this game is. It is just another base builder with a moviemaker skin.
@@marystar1924 I have to disagree about reskinning. E.G. you can't just put moviemaking visuals on Planet Zoo and call it a day. It's a business simulatior "tycoon" game and simulating completely different industries takes more tha just new visuals. Base builders are another genre entirely.
As for what you can put into and get out of your movies, I'm finding conflicting information online and the game isn't finished yet. I don't see why they would put so much effort and detail into the director mode for no reason other than ticking off boxes in a production you can't see. I have played The Movies. I didn't enjoy it very much. It's been a long time but the Director mode here seems more detailed.
tried this game. It was too hard for me. I couldn't not go bankrupt no matter what I did.

I bet you played The Movies. This is meant to be a spiritual successor.
