Axial SCX10iii Limited Edition 1982 Chevy K10 Proline 40th Anniversary. 7 days of unboxings: day 1.

- Today I unbox my first product. The Axial Adventures SCX10iii collaboration with Proline Racing for Proline's 40th anniversary. This truck is similar to the Base Camp with the exception of the following. Proline Big Bore Scaler shocks, Proline Aluminum Bead Lock wheels, Proline Class 1 Hyrax tires, and a custom painted Proline 1982 Chevy K10 Step Side body.
Things didn't go as planned but I managed to get a video uploaded. I'm still learning everything that goes along with making videos. Slowly quality will go up. Please feel free to leave comments on how I can improve quality. All input is appreciated.

Oh man, what a cool looking truck! Love the paint, love the graphics, love the wheels and tires... It's a grand slam.
I love old trucks and they did a good job of making this one look authentic. Now I have to get it out there on the trail for a gentle drive. HAHA Thanks for watching. 👍

Not bad for a RTR. If it came as a kit, I'd pick one up.
I’d like to see a builder’s kit come out for the 10.3 . No dig or 2 speed just simple with no body.
Nice video and thanks for the review! I love the body, but that’s about it. Don’t like the portal axles on the 85 body and just don’t see $600
I'm not a huge fan of the portals either. Lucky I have a straight axle conversion kit already purchased. 😉 I was going to put it on the Jeep kit I still have to unbox. But it may just end up on the 82.
@@sunriserc1033 the only problem with the straight axle going on it, is that it will lower the body and the 1.9 tires probably will rub. I thought about buying me one and doing the same.
@@brianwood9849 Good point. I thought that was why they put the 100 mm shocks in that kit. To make up the difference. Either way we might just have to install and see what happens. 😎

How about a transmission rebuild video? With bearing repacking.
I'll be overhauling a few of my RC crawlers here soon. So keep an eye out for those. They will be done on an Element rig, and TRX4 for now. But you'll be able to relate everything to other vehicles. Thanks for watching Troka.
Just curious if the front bumper is a little U shaped on your truck. I have 0884 and the front bumper is awkward. Not a deal breaker just looks off. Love the truck as I’m a square body fiend. 👍🏻
Yes mine is a little U shaped as well. I was thinking of attempting to fix it and make a video. Since I'm not the only one I will actually do that right now and post the video asap. Keep an eye out on my channel for that video. Thanks for watching.

@@leec440 maybe if you have a hair dryer around the house try that first before you have to go buy something just for this project. Although a heat gun comes in handy quite a bit for this hobby. Good luck!!!
The body on these is really thin and the bumpers feel cheap and are misshapen. You’re better off going with a traxxas. Especially for the money
The body is average in thickness. Definitely not Traxxas THICK. Traxxas produces a nice body. As far as Traxxas ..I already have the 79 Bronco, the K10 and K5 Blazer and 2 Sport Kits I'm building identical for test vehicles. One will get a mod then get tested against the stock one. I also just ordered 2 TRX4 Ms for the channel so make sure you subscribe. There will be plenty of TRX4/Traxxxas content coming.
