Ramonda became a symbol of resilience and survival during the Albanian Golgotha, when Serbian military units had to retreat across the Albanian mountains in winter conditions. The plant was found along those difficult routes, symbolizing hope and perseverance in challenging times. Therefore, for many people in Serbia, ramonda represents a symbol of courage and resilience during difficult times in the country's history.

Teya said that she likes that many people have different understandings of her song, ofc. She said that she mainly wrote the song about inner fights and that there is always hope at the end of the tunnel. The ramonda symbolism is on point. As you may already hear, the flower has specific abillity: when it's fully dehydrated it needs just one drop of water to revive again. So, as the song says at the end: "From the ashes rises up a single lilac ramonda" as a hope to all the people who have been fighting their inner fights. It's really art, the symbolism is beautifull and her vocals live are good. I really think we have a good contestant this year. Greetings from Serbia 💜

The chorus, with its repeated refrain of "Lila ramonda," serves as a symbolic anchor in the song. The lila ramonda flower, known for its resilience and ability to bloom even in harsh conditions, represents hope and renewal amidst darkness and despair. The narrator's repeated question of "Gde su nestale lila ramonde?" (Where have the lila ramondas disappeared?) reflects their search for answers and guidance in a world that feels devoid of light and comfort.

Big greetings to all of you all over Europe and the world from Serbia!!! Ramonda is a special flower that can survive incredible weather conditions (great minuses and plus degrees), even if it "goes out", just one drop of water is enough to bloom again. It is our "Serbian phoenix" and it is dedicated to our people who are lost 1/3 of the population during the first world war (an unremembered victim in history, but we remember) but we rose even after such victims.

After her song "Dzanum" which went viral all over the world thanks to Tiktok, now we have a sequel in the form of Ramonda. The title of Teya's song "Ramonda" references a flower known by its latin name "Ramonda serbica", an endemic species that only grows in Serbia, which is known for its ability to completely dry out and still revive once it gets water, a flower that can straight up come back from undead. Very similar to Ramonda Serbica is Natalie's Ramonda, flower of the same genus, In Serbia it's known as "Natalijina ramonda" named after the XIX century Serbian queen Natalija Obrenović and it's used as a symbol of victory in WWI. In Serbia, to mark this day we wear a phoenix flower - Natalie's Ramonda, capable of resurrection, just as Serbia after WWI, in which it lost almost 1/3 of people (60% of male population). In fact, the song can also talk about loneliness and the ability to have everything in its place one day. Just like Ramonda flower only needs a drop of water to come alive. Hope.

The flower is considered a symbol of Serbia's struggle and victory in World War I, with country suffering the largest casualty rate relative to its population.[8] To commemorate Serbian soldiers who died in war, as well as the resurrection of the country after the devastating war, people wear artificial Natalie's ramonda as a symbol of remembrance.
Natalie's Ramonda is used to symbolize the Armstice in WW1 in Serbia.
This tradition is observed in the week leading up to Armistice Day and is similar to the wearing of the remembrance poppy amongst the Commonwealth countries.

For those who (perhaps) don't know, the ramonda is our endemic flower species (Ramonda Serbica) and a symbol of the suffering of the Serbs in World War I against Austria-Hungary, i.e. Armistice Day (November 11, 1918) and the final victory. Ramonda is a symbol of Serbia, victory, rebirth and eternity. It is also called the phoenix flower, because it is specific in that it can dry up, and only one drop of water is enough to revive it completely. It was discovered by Josif Pancic in 1874, on Mount Rtanj, near Sokobanja. The song of Teye Dora has strong symbolism, good music with traditional (Byzantine and Serbian) elements, arrangement and text, and in the text I especially like the (Serbian) motifs of the star Danica and Ramonda, as well as the beginning, whose rhythmicity and parallelism are very they remind us of our folk (oral) literature. Not to mention her voice. PS. Armistice Day is a non-working day in Serbia, and it is also celebrated in Great Britain, Belgium, New Zealand and France, while it is "Remembrance Day" in the countries of the British Commonwealth, and "Veterans Day" in the USA.

    Lyrics of the song "Ramonda"
    [Stanza 1]
    I don't have it, I don't have it, I don't have it
I have no peace, I have no sleep
Don't let the night come to the day
Woe to him who is alone
    [Stanza 2]
Like under water, everything is quiet
I scream, but it is not heard
Behind the mountains, a white glow, I can't see the end
This time is for the wounded
    [Pre-Chorus]
And there is no one to guide me
    To the bright star Danica
Burning world (Burning world), every flower (Every flower)
    Where did Lila Ramonde go?
    [Chorus]
    Lila Ramonda, Lila Ramonda
    Lila Ramonda, Lila Ramonda-a-a-a
    Lila Ramonda, Lila Ramonda (Ramonda)
    [Pre-Chorus]
And there is no one to guide me
Because the stars are all asleep
    Not even prayers help
    Where did Lila Ramonde go?
    [Chorus]
    Lila Ramonda, Lila Ramonda
    Lila Ramonda, Lila Ramonda-a-a-a
    Ramonda, ramonda's lilac
    Lila Ramonda, Lila Ramonda
    [End]
    It rises from the ashes
    One lilac ramonda

Ramonda serbica, also known as Serbian ramonda and Serbian phoenix flower, is a species in the family Gesneriaceae. It is one of the few European representatives of this family, found in Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, North Macedonia and Serbia. It is typically found in cool, damp, shaded environments, primarily on steep, north-facing limestone foundations. The flower was discovered by Serbian botanist Josif Pančić in 1874 near Niš. It is known for its ability to be revived when watered, even when fully dehydrated, also known as a Desiccation plant. In Serbia it is used as a symbol of Armistice Day in World War. Serbia lost 1 247 435 people. From the total number of people that lived in the country at the time, Serbia lost 60% of its male population in that War.
Ramonda is a lilac flower that can die and come back to life if it is watered.

I imagine her , lost, alone, after a difficult battle ( during or after the war) searching for her loved ones ,,, lilac ramonda could be symbol for hope... ..a flower that only needs a drop of water to rise and bloom...she needs hope now, to be like a flower that will rise from the ashes... I think this is an anti-war song ( the flower is considered a symbol of the struggle and victory of Serbia in the First World War, with the largest number of victims in relation to the number of inhabitants)
Deep wish of those who have lost their loved one(s), to overcome the circumstances and rise above themselves

There are a lot of ways to understand and feel the song. It is really beautiful, and full of profound meanings. Ramonda itself is endemic spaces found dominantly in south Serbia, North Macedonia, and partly Greece. At the beginning she is on the rock, starting in black, no light no hope (as could also be understood on personal level, personal suffer, struggle, pain), same as Serbian people and soldiers refuged to island of Vido in WWI, without hope, totally defeated, sick, wounded, where many who died were buried to the sea, Blue tumb (Ko pod vodom tiho je sve... - Underwater silence surrounds...) etc etc.... Then those destroyed humans forgotten and left to disappear, resurrected somehow and returned to homeland in 1918, making one of the first big victory on mountain Nije in area of Kajmakcalan, where the flower could also be found. The flower is often named phoenix as well, as even dry and dead it will revive with as small as a drop of water (where is hope there is will, where is will there is chance). The flower is worn during Armistice day on 11. November as a remembrance of the power of will and the sacrifice made by Serbs (who lost 1/3 of it's population in WWI). In the end she sais Dize se iz pepela jedna lila ramonda - from the ashes one lilla ramonda flower rises. Song is both Serbian, and individual, can be interpreted in any way and the message is that there is a hope.

Ko god postuje nasu zemlju nece pljuvati ovu pesmu. Koja opisuje stradanje, nadu i uzdizanje jednog naroda. Ako vam se ne svidja ne slusajte. Al niste Srbi ni patriote ako pljujete pesmu posvecenu onima koji su dali zivote za nasu slobodu.

    Ramonda songtex 🌸
    I don't have I don't have me
I have no peace, I have no sleep
    not let night come day
woe to him who is alone
Everything is quiet like under water
I'm screaming but it's not heard
behind the mountains a white glow
I don't see the end in sight
this time is for the wounded
And there is no one to guide me
    to the bright star Danica
The world is burning, every flower
    where they disappeared
    Lila ramonda
    lilac ramonda
    ramonda
    lilac ramonda
And there is no one to guide me
because the stars are all asleep
    not even prayers help
    where the lila ramondas disappeared
    lilac ramonda
    lilac ramonda
    lilac ramonda
    ramonda
    It rises from the ashes
    one lilac ramonda

Unfortunately, she had a death in her family. She lost one of her parents, more precisely her father, although she doesn't like to talk about her private life, the newspaper in her hometown BOR wrote about it... , and the WORLDWIDE KNOWN song DZANUM is dedicated to that.

    The blue tomb
Halt, Imperial galleons! Turn your mighty sterns!
    Thread with the silent pace!
I'm proudly holding a requiem in the middle of cold night
    Over these sacred waters.

Here at the bottom, where the shells fall into the weary sleep
And the moss drops over the dead algaes
lie the gravesite of the valiant, brother by a brother,
Prometheuses of hope, apostles of woe.

Do you not feel how the sea lingers,
Without disturbing the eternal rest of the fallen squadrons?
From the deep abyss the peaceful sleep relieves them,
and with the weary flight the moons ray strolls.

It's the temple of secrets and the tomb of dismal
For the great dead man, endless like our mind.
Silent like midnight over the southern islands,
Dark like the consciousness, cold and agonizing.

Do you not feel that from the livid depths
the piousness grows sprinkled over the waters
And in the air dances the strange pantomime?
It's the great soul of the deceased one that wanders.

Halt, Imperial galleons! On the gravesite of my brothers
shroud your trumpets with black colours.
May the guards solemnly sing the requiem
Over here, where the waves kiss one another!

For many of the centuries will pass, like foam
that passes over the sea and dies without a hint,
And some new and great shift will come,
To make the luminous home over those many graves.

But this gravesite, where is buried
the great and terrifying secret of epopee,
Will be the cradle for the fairytale of times,
where the spirit will search for his paragons.

There are buried the wreaths of yore
and the passing joy of one entire kin,
that's why that grave lie in the shadow of the waves
Between the earth's bosom and firmament.

Halt, Imperial galleons! May the torches freeze,
    May the paddling die silent,
And when I finish my requiem, slip into the black night
    piously and soundlessly.

For I want the endless silence to reign
so that the dead can hear the sound of the truculent lava,
How their boiling blood foams up
in the children that cry out under the aegis of glory.

For, there far away, the battlefield blazes
with this same blood that rests here:
Here over the father the peace is reigning
There over the son history's in the making.

That's why I want peace, to hold the requiem
without a word, without tears and gentle sighs,
to conjoin the scent of incense and the dust
Along with the soundless roars of the distant drums.

Halt, Imperial galleons! In the name of sensible respect
    Slide with the silent pace.
I'm holding the requiem, that the heavens have not yet seen
    Over these sacred waters!
