I have seen many warnings that were not justified. “Applied corrective steering” when it did nothing. Also “road departure detected” when I avoided a crater. Tesla insurance should have listened to the people and used video to confirm before they assumed the car was perfectly assessing the situations.
There are logs that should be used.

We cancelled our Tesla insurance due to the rates going way up. The car would decide that we had an impending crisis out here on our country roads when we were just dealing with really bad pavement. Then FSD contributed by saying that we were chronically way over speed when it failed to recognize speed changes like 55 to 70 mph. Frustrating to say the least.

The foreward impact detection ding is the worst. I have never in my life rear ended someone, or even come close. Tesla insurance dings me with near foreward collision, on vehicles that are 10 meters away. Definitely needs some tweaks

Adding hot water to the river is not OK. Using water and then recycling it cleaner back at a proper temp is good. Filter stations are a good thing....

21:00 Texans and us folk who travel through there rarely drive at 160 mph, though I may have seen it once or twice. Mostly we keep it under 90. As for myself, generally around 70 or 80, depending on the posted speed limit and driving conditions.
I don’t know where you drive. Houston maybe? Here in North Texas drivers make the Autobahn look like a school zone. There are zero police giving tickets on the highway because they can’t spare them.

I have Tesla car insurance. Because the car was scared by a pickup 1/2 mile away pulling up to a stop sign and stopping, then making a left turn toward me (in their lane), and clearly not a threat, my insurance was increased anyway. Waiting in line at the pharmacy window I was dinged for unsafe following. When it all at once, out of the blue, whipped a left turn into a one-way street the wrong direction and I had to brake firmly and try to get out of the way, it dinged me for hard braking. So now my insurance is 2X what was quoted in the beginning. {Prior to Tesla, I had 6 years with 100% safety score with a different insurance company and their nanny in my obdc port.}
I did vote my shares, but I wouldn't apply to attend the event, because the only car I currently have is a 2002 MYLR that just isn't safe to drive the 240 mile trip.

The whole point of Tesla insurance was to save Tesla drivers money. If it's not doing that then it has failed Tesla owners, even if it is making money.
i get those collision warnings on packed cars i drive by and have Tesla insurance. don't like how it affects my rate BUT my insurance is about 50% cheaper than what my insurance broker can find.
Around 40% of US thermoelectric power plant use 'once through' cooling either from river, lake or ocean so using the river for cooling might be a posibility though environmentl regulations may have been tightened since those power plants were built.

@20:43 fellas have you not seen any of the drone footage? GigaTexas had already built an underpass road to the factory not that far away from where the tunnel is. No doubt when ramp up finally hit full speed a that road would be mighty busy so a dedicated tunnel would be mighty handy.

My Northern CA community has its own utility, so I didn't know if my system could be part of the virtual power plant, which is run in CA by PG&E, nor could I reach anyone in the utility department who knew anything. So I just signed up anyway. Apparently it worked, because I did get a notice on the app at least once that my system was participating in a load management event, or such like. Great stuff. Net $52 profit in May, after powering my own home with the system.
We are keeping our Tesla insureance even though it is higher than most competitors, why: (based on friends and coworkers experiences)
1 fast response
2 will replace FSD
3 may lend you a substitute car (Tesla) if available
4 less head ace dealing with payments
5 THEY KNOW EVERY THING ABOUT THE CAR
6 Copay is $1,000 but I can understand why at this time (they are small company)
7 Insurace and repairs communicate to make your life easier
They are far from perfect and I do hope that Elon give this some more attention than just the "lizard guy"
On the hightway by GigaTexas, the highway nearby is really a toll road with 85MPH speed limit. Yes, folks speed there too, but not quite as much as you suggest.

My insurance rates seem reasonable, but I do get dinged needlessly for those warnings when a car ahead of me is turning and I have plenty of room. I also get dinged for "aggressive turning" and no idea why. My score is still around 95, but it would be nice to know why I was dinged.

I have noticed a price reduction of gasoline and diesel by at least 90 cents a gallon in Michigan. If the price can come down another 30 cents per gallon, the cost of the filling up an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle may be less favorable for EV awareness and adoption
I have had a couple of issues with bogus collision warnings in FSD, Also had both hands on the steering wheel not knowing I needed to apply more force while driving at night, not wanting to look away from the road to see what the beeping was about...then having Autopilot Disengage. Happened twice before I figured out what the problem was, so yeah I feel like there should be a way to have events reviewed. I signed up for Tesla insurance thinking they wanted to appeal to owners, not scam them out of extra premium money with fake safety alerts.
We've had that issue with Tesla insurance, A car parked at the entrance to our neighborhood freaks the car out EVERY SINGLE time we drive by. Luckily it was only for about a month while work was being done but our insurance went up considerably due to this.
I live in the arctic part of Sweden, we had -43°C for a week this winter, guess how many EV's where out driving. In winter the battery lasts around the block if you're lucky.
I live in sweden and saw articles this year about a guy buying a model S, his car was the only one that started since his neighbeours had diesel engines that could not heat up the plugs.

Ya Tesla insurance was over $300 a month for me. I almost didn’t get my new Model Y because of it. Thankfully I checked State Farm and got insurance for $150/M and was able to afford my Tesla. They definitely need to lower the cost by a lot.
I live in WA where we vote by mail, so don't really agree with Elon's negative comment regarding mail in balloting. It works very well here and should be the standard nationwide IMHO.

Finally someone is mentioning this! I have Tesla insurance and its giving me forward collision warnings for pedestrians on the sidewalk if im driving on a curve or unsafe following distance in traffic driving. Im 38 and a very safe driver, but my safety score is 85 because of those wrong calculations and therefore paying ~$250 for my insurance 🙄
Just wondering, what is the etiquette when you can use a handicap supercharger spot? If it is the last spot, can you back in and use it?
You do not have to close a highway for months to create an underpass unless you are insanely incompetent. Lots of companies can do the closure in under a weekend. It just requires engineering so it's absolutely not beyond Tesla's ability to organise. However, if you have tunnel borers, even stupidly small ones that are far from what was promised and show no signs of being impressive any time soon, you may as well use them for it. They aren't used typically because the customer doesn't own their own, and they're not just available from a rental place. ;)

I would LOVE a NYK deep dive into PowerShare. That is one area where I have questions. I have solar and 2 power walls I installed 2 years ago at home. I also took deliver of my CT back in March. The big question is how the heck am I able to utilize the bidirectional charging? I am supposed to have the equivalent of like 6 more power walls inside my CT. But no idea how to apply that tech...

I watch your Tesla news every week and really enjoy it. However, I’ve been having an issue with your clips channel. When I’m watching the main feed, I often come across stories like the one about false safety information from Toyota, Mazda, and other companies, and I want to share these with my petrol head friends.
The problem is, when I go to the clips channel the day or even the day after the news comes out, the clip isn’t there. This has made it difficult for me to share these segments.
Is there a possibility that you could link the clips directly on the subscription timeline? That way, we can simply click on the right title and have the clip ready to share?

There is no doubt the Japanese automakers cheated badly and shamefully. I wish Zac and Jesse pointed out the fact the USA does not have any pedestrian safety regulations whatsoever. Most Tesla's are very good when it comes to pedestrian safety. But not the Cyber Truck. That thing is not certified in Europe or anywhere that has pedestrian safety standards. It has a very sharp edge in the front that would rip a pedestrian apart. For me, this is a major turn off for the cyber truck.
