Ep15 | An American Farmgirl's Days of Independence | Working Towards Self-Reliance

- Some of the little everyday things that bring me the greatest joy and peace: harvesting my herbs, picking gooseberries and currants for jam, playing with my chickens, tending to the cattle, a simple "beans and rice" lunch, starting fires and staring out in the sunset. It's Independence Day but dairy farmers don't get to travel and party like everyone else. I spent it alone, immersed in my usual shenanigans at home, somewhere in Michigan where the farmlands turn to the northwoods.

Another great video full of good stuff.
I have enjoyed watching your videos, and I will definitely say that you are a very hard working woman, it looks like a very busy day Thank you for sharing your experience!
I love how you film from an outsider point of view, but it also feels like it's from your point of view. Another great video!
@LisaMarshall0 thank u! I think it comes off as a little schizophrenic sometimes....but I swear I ain't....just being creative I guess.🤷🏻♀️
@@PaulieBonyenne I don't think so at all. It is a unique perspective that makes watching enjoyable.
@LisaMarshall0 oh thank God
Love the videos and the old time pictures at the beginning

Your videos are wonderful! You can show the beauty of small details. Congratulations!
@cowboy1579 aww thank you. Trying!! Once in awhile the small details get a little gross (like afterbirth and manure pits in my next one coming up lol) but it's all just a part of life...
👍👍👍👍👍
Wow another great one.
@SteveandSusiesHomestead thank u!! Been pretty busy with my same old shit everyday. Just remembered i need to get caught up on comments from my previous couple videos!
@@PaulieBonyenne I thought I left a big long comment on this one but I must of forgot to hit reply .
the sink automatic washer has screens in the hoses they'll plug with sediment if there's no screens the fill valves plug if it's the timer be ready to take out a 2nd mortgage
@jasonmushersee thank u! Good to know in case thats the case in the future. I found out the cows were drinking water from their fountains outside. Here there is only enough water pressure to do one thing at a time with water anywhere. Unfortunately the smallish water well was installed about 15 years ago when only like 40 cows were being milked so it was good enough at the time, plus all they had a budget for. With the way the herd keeps slowly growing I might have to start asking subscribers for $10,000 via superstickers for a new well haha. Or a "buy me a water well" link instead of a "buy me a coffee" link 😆
I have the same problem down the road at my house where the beef field's fountain is also connected to my well, so keeping my garden sprinklers going as they should be has been beyond frustrating.
Your kinda of stange and fun at the same time l love it!!!°
