- In this episode I appeal for some help on how to best collect over 700 subscribers names, and I also share some of my favorite Osprey images from a trip to Eagle Idaho.

For help in regards of that list of Subscribers, Might I suggest taking time on a ipad tablet and at least two hours a day (not consecutively) make a list in the Notes App.

Jason, the photos are so incredible! I've never seen an eagle in real life, but they seem really huge, especially with their wings spread. As for the giveaway, I know there are some sites where you enter your video url, from which to pick a random comment. And you can filter it by removing duplicates, specific users, etc. I think one of them is actually called liked that, commentpicker. It won't be able to see if the user is subscribed to the channel, since some have the subscriptions list private, but I think you can ask them for a print screen proof, after they are chosen.

Fantastic shots in this video Jason! Really liked the one oat 3:02 but not being a bird photographer I thought they were all pretty amazing! The ones captured in flight just amaze me! Great job! Thanks for the look at these images! Hope you are doing well and staying safe!

Thanks Lee. It's a Canon EF 100-400mm Lens, and I primarily use it on my 7D Mark ii, which is a crop sensor. It enables me to get to 640mm and when I have my 1.4 extender on it gets me out to 896mm. Have a great week brother!

Hi Jason, congrats for the Osprey photos, they're very beautiful.
I would not write down the name of every subscriber to pick one at the end (and I think you also can't because some subscriptions are private and you can't see) because often some people subscribe to a channel just to have a subscription back and then they never visit the channel again, so why giving the chance to win something? This is my opinion based on my experience, even if I don't have a big amount of subscribers at the moment. I would make a video where the real followers can leave a comment and then you can use the random comment picker. I think it's a more fair process.

I think that you will struggle with the sub question as many will be anonymous Jason and sorry I can’t help on that but the Osprey images were stunning. Only ever seen one once which was amazing . Love that song btw it’s one I’ve used before ! Take care and sounds like a busy schedule!!

I would think, almost impossible to do on all your subscribers as some of them may be anonymous. I dont know of a program that will check your list of the ones that aren't. I know there are some that will read your comments and randomly pick someone. Maybe do 2 or 3 videos asking people to comment and do that. Not sure.. I have used Gleam in the past on my coding channel, the coding zoo but I dont think it will do what you need. Best of luck.

@@JasonStewartPhotography I have asked each person to subscribe and join the mailing list. I messed up by not asking them to make sure their subscription is visible instead of anonymous but truth be told, most people want know how. So I think when it gets close, I will spend a week or two posting community messages and/or videos just talking about the drawing only and the mailing list, in the end I will probably pick random person from the mailing list either by exporting and finding a utility on the web to do it or by exporting to a text file and writing my own utility. (I am a software engineer). You could have people sign up to gleam for it. It is one way to build an audience that can outlast youtube, by creating a mailing list using gleam and its built in random picker. If I can help you in any way, random picker on a text file or something, message me directly, will try to help.

I have seen that many people use the YT Comment Picker... commentpicker.com/youtube.php ...it seems to be the most common one that I have seen anyway...one other thing that I see many people use is a key word that must be in the comment...something like "I'm in"...not sure if I am in that contest or not...hope this helps you out!
