If you don't want to deal with aggressive drivers and tailgaters just put in a gun rack with a couple fishing poles and a couple gun orientated stickers on the back window. I recently purchased an older GMC pickup with a rack and and stickers in the back window. I've been stunned by how much more peaceful driving is now.

Don't know why they stopped putting the removable one in the 2016-2019 trucks. You could move the cup holder to the front or the rear of the console. I miss that in my 2019. Maybe I will try this mod. Thank you for posting this Mr. Fox! You are one smart feller!

I like the idea, but when you were taking the cup holder in and out, it sounded like those tabs are just a couple of uses away from breaking.

BEWARE: Those magnets can erase all the data off of any storage device. Including your mobile or anything else in close proximity to this cup holder.
