- The 2022 GMC Terrain is GMC's small SUV. It's similar to the Chevrolet Equinox. GMC has also given it a few improvements for 2022. Headlining the changes are updated front and rear styling and new wireless functionality for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto - that means you can display your phone's apps on the Terrain's touchscreen without having to use a USB cord if you don't want to. Also new for 2022 is a new AT4 trim level that has a more rugged look and an underbody skid plate, but not much else to improve all-terrain performance.

Needs the 2.0. What is GM thinking?
A few things you missed are:
1) radio controls are found behind the steering wheel.
2) The key fob has an actual key and you have to remove a piece of the driver side door handle to use it.
3) AWD, lane assist, and snow mode dial.
4) Storage below the console.
5) There is a gmc logo that illuminates and can be visible at night when the key fob is nearby and you can kick it to lift and close the back gate.
6) Front passenger side folds down all the way forward.
7) Park assist
8) Apple and Android CarPlay
9) You can turn on the engine when the key fob is dead due to the fact that it has some kind of infrared ray built into it.
I learned a lot about this vehicle watching different videos. It’s an amazing car. I like it better than my old RAV4 and Honda Accord.
Thank you so much for your observation
@@VinnieTheCarGuru No problem. Question for you…do you think GM will put back the 2.0 liter engine and maybe change the gear shifter? If they want to remain competitive I feel like adding more power and a different shifter will help sell.
@@whatthebleep2810 We will see but not at the moment
@@VinnieTheCarGuru I want to also add that dropping my rav4 hybrid for this suv raised my insurance by $50/month.
on the future gmc terrian with the Denali please tell GM to add the duel exahust in a chrome finish, do NOT HIDE UNDER gramp's black PLACTIC BUMPER, EVEN THE 2011 CADILLAC HAS A MUSCEL EXHAUST LOOK!!
Wow this thing looks nice not over styled, nothing busy just a clean suv
the exterior is nice however the interior is extremely outdated compared to cars today
Thank you 👍🏻
I love all the chrome in it, nice chrome grill. I have its sibling, a 2021 Chevy Equinox. That one should have had the 2 liter four banger.
Agree the 1.5 is dangerously underpowered
My old Terrains had the back seat that would adjust forward and backward (manually under the seat) to accommodate car seats, more cargo space, etc. Has that tradition continued?
Nice review!
Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻
LUCYYYYYY I WAS ESPLANIN LUCYYYYY!!!
Thank you for showing the 2022 Terrain, I love this car, going to buy one!
Your welcome!!!
I can’t believe that removed the 2.0 from the Denali. Terrible idea.
I have a 2021 GMC TERRAIN SLT which I purchased brand new. 6 months after purchasing it started falling apart. Dashboard coming apart by the seam, 2 flat tires which the warranty didn't cover, brake booster had to be replace because the break pedal squeaks like a 1960's car, and 4 days after replacing the part, problem came back again 😡. Basically I brought a nice looking lemon 🍋
I LIKE THIS KIND GMC TERRAIN CUZ MY DAD HAS ONE LIKE THAT
🔥Para si no tiene cromo no es Denali 👍❤️
very good car thank you
I have a 2019 GMC Terrain top SLT The only difference I saw is the the option to turn off Auto stop and go, head up display, ant style AAAAND mine has a 2.0. Not worth it for me
The interior already looks outdated and a screen for the head up display? Really GM what are we in the 90 or early 2000?
Hey Vinnie. Interesting video but you should do something with traffic noise in the background. It's very annoying.
Thank you so much for your input👍👍
nice. i really like it . good review
Checked one out that a dealer has discounted, then found out they didnt actually discount it. Walked, the Denali is WAY overpriced when put up against competition. Even 3rd rows compete with it at its price point! GMC made a bad call with pricing and the bland interior.
Looks good needs a optional engine
I have a 2019 Terrain Denali and it came with a 2.0 Turbo that Gmc stopped seeling with the terrains because they said nobody was buying them. The 2.0 is pretty peppy compared to the 1.5
@@ivangojon4407 I see 2.0 terrains all over and the dealer I used to work at sold the 2.0 engine faster then the 1.5 ones I think gm made a fatal mistake and like you I got a 2019 Denali one too
Optional engine uses premium gas.
For real it's Great car
Two things-does the passenger seat have power option, and what is your height?
Yes the passenger seat can be power!!! about the height I don't know what you mean exacly
@@VinnieTheCarGuru Does the model that you reviewed in this video have a power passenger seat? How tall are you? When I know how tall someone is it gives me a better visual of how much leg room there is in the front and back.
@@franmorr1966 Sure no problem, the The driver seat is a power seat and I am 5.8 👍🏻👍🏻
does it have heat/ventilated seats? Why didn't you cover the center console at all? you totally let that out!
Yes, this vehicle comes with ventilated and heated seats. My apologies for not completing the center console review.
@@VinnieTheCarGuru Thank you!
Very nice, if u have a denali will be fine show us 😁
Sure 😊
Does it come with cooled seats?
Yes it does
Yes but only on the Denali trim
What the power and torque? If you talk about the engine you should add everything which is power and torque.
170 hp 203 ft ibs of torque the optional 2.0 that they discontinued had 252 hp and 260 ft ibs of torque
Still those stupid push button shifter
Not for me, I need a stronger engine.
Good lawd have mercy! I've done seen a taste of heaven in a vehicle.
If it doesn’t come with at least a Normally Aspirated 3.4L V6 I wouldn’t even consider this.
Disappointed with the reduction of horsepower!
Great Video lots of detail . I had to give the car a dislike. Love the GMC product line but when I was in the market for a vehicle I had to get away from GMC Due to the Gear Box being digital ( epic fail on GM's part) Also the very outdated Interior for a 2022. Can you start adding Build location of Vehicle. This is a huge consideration when buying vehicles.

Thank you for your input
seat looks ok but not comfy compared to rogue
They are extremely better then the rogue
@@danielmeador1991 Nope. Rogue has got Zero gravity seats which are very comfortable. GMC's an ordinary SUV seat.
@@turmericrice these zero gravity seats get a zero to me my back hurts 5 minutes after sitting in them
@@danielmeador1991 wow, I got bulged disc on my back and I find Nissan’s comfy.
@@turmericrice good for you but I have severe spinal cord injuries and the Nissan seats suck to me
Don't like the 2022 model I have the 2020 model with the 2.0 T motor mines better 2022 model not worth upgrading to this that motor is slow but I do like that the 2022 model have the auto stop disable button
Hey guys take it easy, relax plz
The 1.5 is a yawn fest give us the new 2.0 lsy engine
This vehicle is a piece of junk compared to my 2012 GMC Terrain SLT-1 AWD. My Terrain had more headroom, more leg room, a much more comfortable seat. Th 2nd row bench moved a full 8" front to back. My Terrain had a 184 HP Ecotec engine, naturally aspirated. The vehicle was quiet when cruising down the interstate. The softride suspension made it float. It was a superbly designed vehicle that GM screwed up. I replaced my Terrain with a 2021 Subaru Ascent Touring. I only replaced my Terrain because things began to wear out from age, mechanically the vehicle was perfect due to being maintained.
If GM tries to push the GMC brand to a premium brand, it needs to offer a 2.0 or better engine again on the Terrian. Or just come clean and stop calling the GMC a professional-grade GM division when it is only 5% better than Chevy. Why does GM keep offering the same base engine from the Chevy Equinox and think buyers will get fooled into buying non-premium vehicles marketed as premium/ professional grade? I don't know, but Honda makes sure their Acura's don't look like their Hondas, and so does Toyota with Lexus, Nissan with Infiniti, and even Hyundai with Genesis. Does GM think that American's are ignorant? Or does GM want to keep losing sales to Asian imports SUV's? Asian imports try harder and make better attempts to sway buyers from their "regular" brands to their "Premium brands." Now that GM doesn't have 15 brands with identical vehicles sporting different badges, perhaps they should keep their brands as diverse as possible. Let's Make American Vehicles Great Again!
GMC Goofs Manufacturing Crap
This GMC Terrain SLT fully loaded is about $4K overpriced considering its competition. Especially given weak engine with 170 HP. Besides great looks what is so special about this SUV? With current horse power this vehicle should be priced fully loaded at around $38K not $42K.
