Isn't it amazing that all the things you thought that was so important BEFORE decluttering, now seems like trash and being tossed. You NEVER EVER realize how MUCH stuff, trash you have until you get ready to move. GREAT JOB!!!
So true! moving truly shows ya how much you have!
So true. But since I'm planning to move this year so I approach every declutter like moving day is right around the corner.
Except some of it isn't trash or at least wasn't at one time. Like the DEAD SEA face mask. Might be worth digging around the house to see what things you've been saving for a special occasion and whether you should make today that special occasion.
@@Smithpolly I agree. It isnât trash, it unused stuff you most likely never needed in the first place. If it was something you truly needed, the item wouldâve been used. We consume way more than we need.
@@daCubanaqt Except, in this case, the point is the face mask wasn't consumed. Just because it's not something someone "needs" doesn't mean it's not something that couldn't be enjoyed by someone. So it's a good idea to either use those things fairly soon after you get them, and if you find you're not doing then, realize that either you're not a face mask type of girl or you are a face mask type of girl but you have 500 face masks and only one face and you're never going to get through them and you might as well give them away while they're still good to use.
2 videos in a week? I am here for it. Becky did amazing for the fact she has been here 13 years and had her own bathroom.
I hope that Becky decides to keep the green furniture that belonged to her mom to keep the extra things she will need for her bathroom
I hope so tooâ€
Loved seeing Becky again! Realistically, she probably does need to get rid of more things, but I think she did a great job on her first pass. It's hard to declutter!
yes yes first pass was great and that is the thing about decluttering...you can always do it again ...and again... and again!đ€
â@@TheCarlaProjectand again and again - especially if you like watching those prepper channels! đ
She'll get rid of more once space fills up at her new place
Yes but GREAT WORK Becky! Always takes more than one pass. Hopefully second pass as she unpacks her boxes too!
To Carla and Becky
Please show us the new bathroom once Becky gets all moved in and all organized!
Iâd love to see it!
And, of course, the whole new house too!
Beckyâs old bathroom had so many drawers and under sink storage. It will be interesting to see how it goes in the new place. Some things might be better stored/used elsewhere, maybe, like cleaning items.
I think Becky will be definitely doing a re-organization when she gets into the new place and sheâll have a lot of fun doing it too! She will be moving into her _new life!_
You two are just so much fun and good friends! Moving is hard and it is sooo much more fun to do it together!
Becky is the sweetest and itâs so lovely watching the two of you together! The neti pot wish was the funniest đ€Ł
Yes! I love witnessing their friendship â€
The most satisfying part is when she is wanting to just stuff something in the box without looking at it- you rationalize with her a bit and then when she looks through it- half or more is trash! Great work!
Your friend will probably purge more of bathroom items once she figures out not all will fit in new place. Some of those little samples have got to go...LOL! As always, a pleasure watching your process. Take care !
That 'not too much, right? - Carlas face' đđđđđ
This!!!
I hope we get to see where she puts all that stuff. lol đ
oh yes you will đ
Yeyy!! I so want to see that!
All I can say is Iâm obsessed with those boxes that you donât have to have tape to close. Iâve never seen boxes like that.
Same! A must for my next move.
I know!! Moving company sold them to her. Game changer
My company uses those boxes when we move and they are great! Perfect for books, frames, etc. Iâve never seen them sold in regular stores though.
Samson heard you say he's getting a treat for every new subscriber - you're gonna be regretting that promise for a long long time. He's a smart doggo and will hold you to it đŠŽđŠŽđŠŽđŠŽđŠŽđŠŽđŠŽđŠŽđŠŽ
is that why he is following me around the house đ đ đ
@@TheCarlaProject treats don't have to mean food, could be other things :)
These videos are so motivating. After you posted part 1, I left work early and decluttered half my closet!
First, I love your friendship! Only true friend can laugh and push through this process! Secondly, I am not going to lie, I screamed âNO!â When Becky didnât look through the nail polish. đ Yâall did great! Baby steps! Finally, you made me go get a âcrap boxâ out of my bathroom cabinet. Kept three things!
hahhaha even i was too tired to declutter the nail polish đ
Her laugh is amazing!!!
"It's a sign" as the gold shelf falls into the sink. đâ€đâ€đ
Why are you people so harsh on her in the comments? She tossed a lot!!!! Tens of decisions made quickly to throw things away. Come on.
Yeah indeed .
Bc ppl like to judge and it's so easy from a save, anonymous place...I guess?
seriously! judging before even watching video in entirety!
She definitely tossed so much. It's the right way, and Carla always says that you declutter in steps. â€
People often watch these videos for the satisfying " before and after ' . There is a bit of an obsession with purging...and I think that can be harmful if it just leads back to accumulation. I think not tossing stuff you actually want is the way to go. Less likely to just acquire more to fill the void. At least that is how it works with me with clothes.
That bathroom gave me severe anxiety. So much stuff!
Just my opinion, but I would have thrown out much more. All those samples for starters
It did for me too. I thought I had a lot of stuff until I saw this video! I immediately wanted to declutter my health and beauty care items!
Iâm surprised they didnât recycle more of the containers or put the non beauty items out for free instead of trashing those things. Perhaps itâs too much time to do it. Whenever I declutter, I try to recycle as much as I can.
Watching all that stuff go in the trash made me think how itâs going to on this Earth for thousands of years. People really need to rethink the things we buy and how it impacts our planet.
Oh i hope you help her organize in her new home. You two have cheered me up today. Kisses to mr Sansom x
coming soon :)
I think in her new place it would help her to start using up all the products that have small amounts or small containers first and just use them till they have gone. Iâm not a great product user and use everything up before using a replacement.
It's hard to declutter if you lived somewhere for a long time and never used the decluttering muscles. But it will get easier with every pass (if you want and/or need to)!!!
I keep a few basic things, shampoo/conditioner, face wash and body wash. I haven't worn makeup for over thirty years due to not having the money and just lost interest in wearing it. My face as a result is in much better shape. I have a lot of respect for anyone who clears out their homes of unneeded objects, either trash, recycle or donate. The strength, time and energy in doing so is well worth it.
I have a sneaking suspicion that sweet Samson is gonna get a lil chonky with all these people trying to resubscribe to get him treats đđâ€. Good job ladies! I periodically go through my bathroom and linen closet to purge. Itâs not been much now because I buy a lot less đ.
Becky did a great job! I just did a move, and even though I am a minimalist, my husband isn't, so trying to do so many things at once (declutter, pack, decide what I need to leave out and where everything goes in the meantime...) was really difficult. I'm normally good at decluttering but still found myself getting more ruthless as we got closer to the move, especially with his things. We also downsized from 2b2b to a studio, and it's soooo difficult to imagine the space differences in your mind. It's obvious that Becky will need to get rid of more things, but the fact that she didn't get rid of everything today just means we can get another video. ;) Good job, ladies!
The way I see it, a moving out declutter should be a 2 step thing. While moving out, you declutter what you don't want to bring into the new chapter of your life. Then while moving in, you declutter what doesn't fit into the new space as well as what was unnoticed in step one, with your new place as inspiration for your new life to motivate you.
So I'm sure she'll go through her stuff again later. & in case she needs help, especially in organizing a completely different, smaller space, maybe Carla can help.
Honestly, this is real. I am going to take a leap here but I think most people have too much. You can tell by the popularity of decluttering videos! We all need motivation and Carla, you are great at that! Becky, you are doing great! Keep it up!
Becky did awesome! Everyone needs to realize that this might only be her first round of decluttering in the bathroom. Everywhere in my home took multiple passes before any noticeable progress was made. I hope Carla can help her again after the move to organize and further declutter what doesn't fit comfortably in the new apartment.
I was going to have to move during COVID because my husband lost his job. So I called a real estate agent and packed up 36 boxes. Just a portion of what would it really had to be moved. A year and a half later after realizing I didn't have to move I unpacked and got rid of half of what was in those boxes. You realize the things you don't want and don't need. You will be doing part two in a year she'll ask you to come and help her declutter all the boxes she never opened.
Samson says subscribe!!!
Relocating from a three-story, five-bedroom home (rented rooms out! Omg!) to an upstairs one-bedroom postage stamp with a garage, to another state with a storage unit (one bedroom on loan for six months) to a one bedroom, to a two bedroom DOWN AN INCLINE WITH 13 STEPS (YIKES!) to a ground floor two bedroom... All while very disabled... From 2010-2024, we have been in our ground floor two bedroom basement suite for eight years and I am finally physically strong enough to deal with this clutter!!!!
I'm clearing out the last of the unwanted and the unnecessary because the next time we move will be IT! NO. MORE!!!!! None of the stuff I have been releasing belongs in my future!!!
So proud of myself.
Thanks, Carla, for showing how to do it in an emotionally sensitive way.
â€â€â€đâ€â€â€
I am so in
Wow you and Becky rocked that bathroom declutter! Loving this new series and rooting for Becky to let go of so much she doesn't need a storage unit! Hope you do a move in orginize video for her new place!
She can probably donate the trial and travel size and still usable items to a womenâs shelter.
Yeah Becky - Good Job! Hope you follow through with " the Becky Move Series". Finish all the packing and help her unpack, get organized and settled in her new adorable cottage. This is a fun one to watch!
I didnt realize how much I missed Samson..until I saw him. â€â€â€â€â€â€
Becky, you did a great job making so many decisions. Half hour for that entire bathroom is very quick. Thank you for allowing us to see your moving process. You and Carla are so much fun togetherđ
I absolutely understand how Becky feels. It seems easier not to sort and just throw stuff in the boxes, but it just bites you later. The last time I moved it was into a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator. No hired movers just me and my boyfriend. I'm a minimalist, and decluttered before the move. We made probably hundreds of trips up and down those stairs and by the end I was so over it I even said just let the neighbors have it (what we still had left in the bottom floor hallway). Not decluttering before just means delayed decisions. If you have the time and a friend to help, before carrying of unnecessary boxes is ideal.
I think she did pretty good. I think she will realize that her space is limited so she will be willing to get rid of stuff. I âbe been binge watching your channel Carla. I was already decluttering bit doing a 10 minutes per day like you said had helped. I feel good after I do it.
YES!! it is amazing how much of a difference ten mins a day makes!! â€
Great job, Becky!!!! At first I was thinking "how could she have so much stuff in that bathroom? I dont have that much stuff & I have 3 bathrooms in my home." Then I got to thinking...not everything I have is in the bathroom, but scattered in other parts of the house. I've realized I have a lot more stuff than I need, but cant seem to part with things...I guess by definition I'm a hoarder. Thank you Becky & Carla for showing that you dont need to keep everything!!!! Good luck with your move!
It was great seeing Beckyâs decluttering muscle get stronger as the video progressed. â€
Would love an unpack/move in/organize in her to new room. You did great. Inspiring
I've moved 6 times in the last 10 years & always had 1 bathroom box đ€·ââïž it's fascinating to see someone soo different
I would use the container method-- she can only take what will fit in the new bathroom- decide the number of boxes that would be.
OMG Carla, I wasnât subscribed! I thought i was but I wasnât but I am now! Give that Good Boi a TREAT!! (Give him 2 â€)
Great 1st pass. Samson is precious
This is the perfect kind of series to get you up past 100K! I can't wait to see Becks settled in her new place. đ
Hubby and I joke that everyone should pretend theyâre moving every 3 years and itâs amazing what little we would keep in our homes.
Great job to Becky, such a fun video, kinda felt like Iâd won a jackpot with two vids in one week! â€đđ
So fun to watch! I moved recently⊠Wish I wouldâve decluttered more before I moved in. So hard to do it when unpacking. I recommend to purge a lot if you can! Donât leave it for unpacking⊠Itâll never get done.
I think she needs to have a spending freeze and actually use up some products.
Becky is such a trooper! I love her personality - so open and friendly. I canât believe how much stuff she got rid of. I donât have a lot of extras in my bathroom, but I was inspired to go through and I got rid of a couple things! Yay for inspiration! Thanks Becky! â€
Wow, she got rid of loads of stuff. Can't wait to see how she fits everything into her new place - it'll be tough, but I think she can do it đȘđ»đđ»
Carla - I'm loving your Becky vids! You are so supportive of your friend and she's got such an infectious laugh! Love Samson too, he's a star and a gentle soul â€
Good job! Come on people, be positive.
She did it good so far and will declutter more at her new place.
Iâm doing some of my stuffs too.
When you start packing to move after you've ve lived in the same place for a while you realise how much stuff you have that you had forgotten about or just was there, unused and taking up space.
Great job Becky and Carla!!! Becky, once you started tossing things it got easier right? The big smile at the end says it all. Best of luck in your new place!â„đđ
Becky's new place is fab!â€
it is!
I had to do this when I moved. Itâs not fun but I moved next door and the storage systems had been upgraded but I swear I lost half the storage. đ But even though it was mentally excruciating, it was necessary. There was stuff in my bathroom that had not been touched in years. Basically like that mask, I was saving for a special occasion. đźđ Great job amigas. I love this series. You and Becky are a breath of fresh air! I hope you help her move in too!
Loved the neti/genie wish đđ€Łđ
hilarious!â€
I have a shampoo bar, a lotion bar and toothpaste. đ Becky is definitely a lover for all sorts of selfcare products. It is brave to toss that much away. She has a sweet personality. Irma from the Netherlands
Hi Carla, Becky and Samson.
Oh my, moving is stressful itself, but the short time to decide what can go or what must stay is kind of overwhelming.
I'm glad you're helping your friend to go through that procedure. Downsizing itself isn't bad, but everything's different than it used to be.
All my best wishes in the new home.đ
A lot of nice make up/bathroom nice things get purchased as a _feel good_ item which really are not used all that much when you get it homeâŠ
Then they need to go!
Good job ladies!
Are we going to see Becky move in and organize her new place ???
I moved to Hawaii from the mainland 16 years ago, and I had that much bathroom stuff before I left. It required purging quite a bit, and it taught me that we really need so little in the bathroom supplies. Best to keep it super simple especially when you move. Good job!
Never clicked on a video so fast! Can this series last forever? I love your dynamic. She did so well !!!
Thank you for letting us in and taking us on the journey. Becky!
Honestly, this video feels so realistic. It's so human and relatible . Both of you did amazing â€
Oh I hope you do an unpacking video too at the new place, with more decluttering. Becky did so well letting things go. You girls are both so gorgeous, and how funny were the genie wishes â€
Good job Becky for taking small steps in your declutter journey †oh and enjoy your lovely new home !
I could see you were both kinda exhausted, but still kind and positive. Love this series. Congrats on the new cute apartment!
l love the dynamic when you work with your friends!! ty for letting us into your and their lives a little bit!
Thank you so much âșïž đ
The momentum is so key!!!đđ Bravo Carla for keeping your sweet friend going!!! Excellent job Becky!!!â€â€â€You are getting stronger and stronger!!đđ»
Decluttering is hard, lots of decisions. Thanks for the video.
Great job Becky!! We are refinishing our upstairs bathroom, I didn't realize how much stuff I had rat holed away until I had to remove everything.
I love you two.......priceless.....true friends â
It's so hard decluttering I get the feeling becky is going to have to go through some of this again! Best of luck to her xx
Becky did great!! I can't wait to see how her declutering/moving journey continues!
I think that she shouldnt have packed the baskets and organizers with the bathroom stuff. She will definetally not use them as they were in the big bathroom. So I suggest she packs organizers together and then shop her stash at the new place. She may find better use for all of them in other spaces .
I can't belive you don't have more subscribers Carla! I've been subscribed for a long while now and when you said your goal is to get to 100k I couldn't believe you're not there already!
She would do herself justice to not buy anything until she uses this stuff up.
Ugh me and my mini samples from Sephora can commiserate! LOL! That new space with the backyard - dreamy!! I bet once she moves in she'll be able to let even more stuff go. Great job Becky!
Love Becky! I actually thought the got rid of too much!! The thing is she's moving house not going to another town so she can keep stuff and then decide what to do with them. The baskets or at least some of them will be used in her new, smaller place but it's not easy to know in advance which ones will be useful and which ones won't. If she got rid of all of them, like some people suggested, she would then have had to rebuy baskets, which isn't smart or practical. If she was moving far away things would be different. And I absolutely have second thoughts about things that I declutter and sometimes I end up keeping a couple of things after decluttering. Very normal. She did so well, given you dealt with a lot spaces during the day and we only saw this bit in the video.
Last but not least: I too wish for a husband ladies! I was like "yep these are my peeps"!
Go Becky! I can relate to all of this. I have so many travel sizes and samples - that I need to go throw out now! And I need to go buy a neti pot to rub to get a husband. đđ I'm loving this series. Looking forward to the next installment and seeing how Becky settles in to her new home. Thanks, Carla!
lol neti pot gang đđ

Not long enough!! I want more! Soooo motivating đđđ„°
That was brilliant decluttering. Well done to ye both and Samson of course đâđŠș Iâm a hoarder too and keep all bits of paper, cards, etc. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife đđđȘđđđđâđŠș
I just made a 5 move recently. Watching this brings back memories of the thousands of tiny decisions that must be made beforehand! You're such a good friend to help Becky through this, Carla! â€
I am decluttering vicariously through you. We are doing a great job! Xx
Becky is doing great! Canât wait to see her settled in her new place. Carla, you are an awesome friend.â€
Well done! Watching Becky's work on her stuff makes me remember when I started decluttering. We never think we had that much stuff until we finally do the job! Now I have an appointment with myself every 3 months, I must declutter something - my pantry, my bathroom cabinets, my medicine box, make up, wardrobe, whatever I think needs some atention. So good to see you help your friends like that! Sometimes a gentle push is just what we need.
Great work! Think about how every bit helps make it easier to move! You motivate each other đ
Yes it does!â€ïž
Thinking of the complicated yard situation when Becky moves-I would MUCH PREFER TO BRING LESS IN than go through decluttering and have to get bring it back out over there! It is an emotional time and I understand decision fatigue. I was unable to do a proper declutter during previous moves, but I did give away a whole lot of large items, including a treasured Art Deco 1920s walnut liquor cabinet. I miss it dearly but I had to give up being its guardian/caretaker. From 1992 - 2014, I was so careful! I'm glad it has another home now.
It's GORGEOUS but not practical in the least!!!
So happy for you, dear ine, to have a friend like Carla!
We all need a friend like Carla!!!! â€â€â€ (and SAMPSON, THE SOUL DOG!).

Go Becky Go ...if will feel GREAT
Bravo Becky! Sending you good thoughts on this journey. I'm realizing my extremely sensitive skin means I do not have clutter in this area. I find one thing that doesn't make me itch/rash/react and I stick with it. I could probably pack all of my stuff and my husband's stuff in one box. (art supplies? whole different story).
I am already subscribed, but I think Samson needs an another treat đ
Love her laugh!! đ
Great job! I could totally relate to this one, because I did the same decluttering not long ago and was shocked at how much I had accumulated, how much I decluttered, and still how much I kept... and how much TIME it took! You guys made excellent progress.
Purge your bathroom every year and youâll be so ahead of the game đ
I wish to have a husbandâŠme too. I laughed out loud. Yâall are so cute.
Hi Carla! Can't wait to see Part 3! BUT.....more importantly, can't wait to see how the new place is decorated and organised when Becky moves in! Sam from Gold Coast đŠđș
Great job! Carla you give me encouragement to keep decluttering. Homeless shelters could make good use of all those travel size items instead of tossing đą.
Yay! Just remember one of the keys to getting stuff out of your house is to dispose of items in whatever way you have time and capacity for. Beckyâs overwhelmed moving so no way she could take on the extra task of a homeless shelter run.
