Thanks so much for putting this together. I have done basic fluid services on my own vehicles before but this is the first time with my 76 Cruiser and you've given me all the confidence I need to go ahead. Really appreciate the little things too like socket sizes and oil types and the oil filter spec to help me confirm what I've read from the manual.

I use hpr 15w50 hpr semi synthetic penrite diesel oil ,i change from full synthetic castrol to penrite as pre dpf v8 took 15w40 and i have 400,000km on my 79series landcruiser and she goes way good and she's chipped goes way better with penrite

one additional thing to mention is that some oil filters/wells can take as much as 1 litre of of oil to fill so you should run the engine up to 30 secs or so and let sit for 5 minutes and recheck levels

Hey bud the spring in the video with the oil filter where does that go?

hi, should go between the filter cartridge internal sleeve and the external canister, if you check video. its there so if the filter gets completely blocked, it will push the whole filter cartridge open against the spring, so you can still have oil flow. cheers 6:18
