Planning on leaving San Jose, California for good. Thanks to you Decatur GA is now on my list to move my family and raise my kids.
That’s great! Keep us in mind when you get ready to start looking. We’d love to help you!
Though traffic is def a con the Marta station sits right in the square.
It does, and that’s a great alternative! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing this video. Would you consider this city walkable?
Thank you for watching! Yes, it is absolutely a walkable city. At one point, walkscore.com. had the city ranked the most walkable city in Georgia. I don’t know if that’s still the case, but there are over 60 miles of sidewalk in the city. The downtown is a great area to walk, with a lot of top-notch restaurants!
@@LivinInAtlanta Perfect! Thanks.
Is it possible to get a condo there for less than 500?
Definitely! How big, new and nice, depends on the area of Decatur, but even in the best areas it’s easily doable.
there would be here if it wouldn't be atlanta georgia
Thanks for watching!
this wouldn't be here if it wouldn't be atlanta georgia
That’s true, everything just built up around it for miles. Do you live near Decatur?
Decatur was founded in 1823, Atlanta in 1837. Atlanta was created as a result of Decatur turning down the offer to be the RR hub for the Western and Atlantic RRs. So without Decatur's rebuff, there would be no Atlanta.
Cons - extremly high property tax, California style woke rules and regulations
Thanks for watching! The property taxes are definitely higher there than a lot of other ATL suburb cities. Do you live in the area now?
