The Reason the antler is not brown is when the deer rub, the stain from the trees and shrubs coat the antler and give it it’s pretty brown color, This is why places with little rubs have white antlered deer.
Pretty sure steroid users use something from the velvet as it's the fastest growing (something) in the animal world. And it helps great for growing muscles in humans... Joe Rogan said it on a podcast 😅
I don’t get why you would taxi a deer unless it was a trophy. Otherwise it’s just a waste of money cus you could easily make a European mount at home.(that’s what I’ve done for my bucks) and save a lot of money
I’ve got dear with white antlers in Jan during winter archery and found sheds that were white in March. I’ve also have gotten deer with brown antlers during the first week of archery in Oct. I’m guessing it’s more to do with diet?
Anyone else wondering why the antlers were small and shedding and was kinda off the head I hope he didn’t kill one just to make this video of it shedding
You obviously don't hunt. Deer are so prolific that many states hunt year around. Do you have any idea how sickly the heards would be without proper management? It may surprise you if you would learn a little about wildlife management.

@@jeffjames9568 it is true lmao
@@jeffjames9568 it is true when a deer velvet is ready to come off the rub it on a tree and the velvet and the trees stain the antlers
The velvet is highly prized in some countries as a natural medicine for humans.
How happy my dog would be to have that velvet :D best treat ever
👍100% brother but my dog would probably catch it and swallow it hole or like a noddle 🙏🏼
This is normally really blood and brutal looking when they shed that velvet off
I know, I've never seen velvet come off so clean!
mmm freshly peeled antler
I wonder if velvet is eligible to use as a sort of leather or not? If not, still cool to know it's other uses. 🤔
I just know there was a buck in the woods wishing he had thumbs to just peel off the velvet
I learned something new today.
Wow it’s actually flesh 😮😧
Those antlers are magnificent
Bodybuilders take velvet as a spray or pill supplement. The theory is it increases testosterone, and it contains key nutrients like the vid states.
What are you doing with those antlers?
I know I've watched this video before. It must just be it came out in a short

Please answer this why would you do that to your antlers?
Is there a way to preserve the velvet in order to make it into a mount?
Yes take it to taxidermist as soon as possible I managed to do this with one of my wall mounts

That’s amazing thanks for sharing so so so cool!
why can't it stay on? why do they have to scrap it off?

In late season and once they shed the sun bleaches them whitish

Guys in Ohio would love to get a velvet buck and here you are just taking it off hahaha cool video.
Me to...I'm in Lorain county....✌️
Wood county here.. Got a few bucks on camera here who still have some velvet. Would be a dream to get one before they shed
It'd be more amazing if you can put that velvet back on... I'll wait.
Note: sorry I'm just high 😂
The velvet is actually skin and fur.., just a touch different from the rest of the fur the deer has.
Deer velvet is good for your health. They sell it online.
Ur insane
AMAZING!!!
Nice!
Leave it!! Lol. I know it's probably for someone else or u jus wanted it off, but I'd left it lol. JMO
Could you tan the skin?
Realistically yes, but it’s so brittle it would probably be destroyed in the process
Satisfying of what 😰😰
You can make a bath with that velvet. Your skin will be smooth. ❤
It smells gross but that's real life... damn skippy.
But why didnt you just leave the velvet on? Be an awesome mount
That stuff will make you stemmy
no wonder they itch
People use that for something velveteen use it for something
Those gloves… take off the gloves kitten soft paws 😂
Leave the velvet
Why leave the velvet just asking
@@cameronbrennemanoutdoors to keep it the way you killed it. That and everyone has solids hanging in there house. Not many have velvet bucks hanging.
Disgusting!
You should see when deer naturally shed their velvet, it's usually quite bloody. But it doesn't hurt them though.
Snowflake 🤡 we can’t see your videos 🤣
You know they rub that off, right?
Yup. We've produced numerous videos on it, in fact.
I cud do that all day...like therapy....lol .... Rock on
Anyone else wondering why the antlers were small and shedding and was kinda off the head I hope he didn’t kill one just to make this video of it shedding
Hunting deer in the Spring?
First week of Wyoming bow season, still in velvet
Eat it
That velvet means you got it out of season.
No it doesn't.
Bahahahaha
