    Great cheap alternatives to the Rhino (someday it will be mine but space is my limiting factor). Just bought the Rogue belt with your link. Appreciate the content!

    Thanks for the video. I perform belt squats with the landmine and an axle barbell, and it works fairly well

    Great video liked and subscribed. I did my first home belt squat using the landmine. I don't have plyo boxes or other method to lift me off the ground but did like how I could load about 300lbs on there quickly and it felt good. Next time will do one in CENTER of the rack and use the Henny attachment to hold the rear barbell. This will both put it in center of rack and also allow back to move to keep a more vertical move. I might use another Henny strap to hold front just 2 inches or so from bottom of squat I know I can't go as low but safe and easy to start stop. I have Rep with Athena cables and GymPin so with bands might be able to get it over 300lbs also and super fast to setup. Just don't have room for belt squat machine. Also ordered Rogue kabukki bar which will let me do Hatfield squats and front squats more comfortably.

      Thanks so much! I have seen a few people have a lot of success with the Henny Sysyem so I hope it works well for you. It sounds like you’ve got some great equipment.

      Thanks so much, BBD! Agreed. When all I had was a smith machine and high/low pulley, I had to get pretty creative.

    Oh this was great. With my space, I was looking to make good use of a landmine setup, but didn't know which belt I should use or how I should attached it to the barbell, so this answers my questions perfectly. Is there any way you can provide a link to the equipment you used for that? Thank you!

      Thanks so much! Some of these pieces are in my Amazon affiliate store and either the Rogue Multi Belt or Henny Belt Squat Belt will work.

    Not belt squat related, but Levergym hack related. I know you've previously drilled holes in equipment to expand the use. Have you considered aligning the lever arms with the top tube and drilling through the top? I know the cable feeds through there but maybe with a wiggle as you slide the iso pin, it would hold the arms high and possibly the arms would now serve for pull-ups. I'm surprised Powertec hasn't implemented an option like that.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  Před 2 lety +1

      I’ve thought about it, but ultimately, I just don’t think it’s worth it. The arms wouldn’t be all that high, so pull-ups would need to be bent legged. The biggest benefit would be getting the arms out of the way for Pulldowns, but in this video, you can see how I wedge the silver bars in the frame to hold the arms up, and if that doesn’t seem sturdy enough, a strength band can be added to tie the arms around the frame.

    How you doing bro? hey have you tried a k box flywheel before? I started to like my rhino a lot now, but been thinking about replacing it with a k box. I am thinking the k box will be a little easier on my bad knee do to the way it works.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  Před 8 měsíci

      I have not. Flywheel training has never really interested me, I’d much rather stick with plates.

    I use my seated calf machine to do belt squats

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  Před rokem +1

      I can definitely see how that would work. I’ve never tried it with mine, but very similar to some of the lever arm rack attachments.

    I have the powertec lever gym, and watched videos how make a belt squat platform to attach upper cable to and make it it centered . Think that my next project. A rouge belt squat too expensive, and titan version still to big to fit in a room with all the other equipment.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  Před 2 lety

      Very cool. I think a loading pin is a little easier for belt squats with less construction, but if you have a chance, let me know how your belt squat goes.

    Hou u doing ? Do you know if there are any differences between. The old version of the mountable rack squat max to the new stand alone? They are selling me one for$650 but I can probably get it for $500 but it's like a 4 hour drive.
    Anyways iam 5'9 and son is about 5'11 and ceiling hight is 8ft.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  Před rokem

      I’ve never used the rack-mounted one, but they should be pretty close to the same. You will need to make sure it’s compatible with your rack. It’s gonna be pretty close with an 8’ ceiling. I was going to move my Squatmax inside and it would work, but my head was only going to be a few inches from the ceiling.
