@@galaxytraveler5779 Truly, if you have a regularly healthy diet you shouldn't worry, and again I (yes I am someone with no medical or nutritional background) I recommend that you just measure wether it's okay or not, if you've been diagnosed with anything that has to do with certain ingredients doing you bad (allergies for example, or intolerance) then maybe not, but if you are healthy then ice cream once or twice a month won't really affect your health as it could if you regularly eat it
@@pho4741 Yes, moderation is the key. For some people, it's very hard to have something like a DQ blizzard and not want to go back for more the next day or week. Luckily i have fairly good discipline when it comes to that!

all food stores, just like our homes, are subject to cockroaches, flies, mould. Thats why we have health inspectors to close down those which dont conform to standards. If now dairy queen store had been found in violation, i would be a little concerned that inspectors werent doing their job

I’ve tried dairy queens ice cream before and I love it. The next time I have a chance to go into a Dairy Queen, either I will get a Butterfinger blizzard, or, I will get two dipped cones, one in each hand, a butter scotch in one hand and a chocolate in the other hand, both vanilla cones. I was just wondering if the Dairy Queen stores in California are up to health and safety code, because we have really strict sanitation guidelines here in California.

I used to eat dairy Queen "ice cream" quite a bit back then and wondered why I always had stomach and some other health problems. Since then I never been back and my stomach issues ended. And by the way I also stayed away from food ingredients that I can't pronounce.

Good. They made a point of destroying a mom and pop ice cream shop in Bloomington IN back in the 80s. Penguin Ice Cream had blizzards before Dairy Queen. They had something like 100 flavors of mix ins. Plus they’d actually mix in any ingredient you brought in. They even flipped the cup upside down. Then DQ moved in across the street and revived a long-dormant “trade mark” on the word “blizzard” that they hadn’t used in decades. Since blizzards were the only thing Penguin sold, they were quickly out of business, even after they tried renaming them “blizz-erts” or something like that. RIP Penguin. You made good ice cream. Probably real, and probably without all the other crud Mashed mentioned in this video.

I was at dairy queen the other day, i left after watchong a working put a packet of powder into a container of ice cream. I worked at McDonald's in 1997, the manager told me they don't use real ice cream it's powder and milk.
Same thing here recently. Hadn't had a milkshake from them in a long time. Paid $4+ for a large and got maybe 1/3 to 1/4 cup of 'ice cream' shake. The cup stayed full of foam (and no whipped cream topping). Overpriced fake bullshit. Rally's has better shakes. So the foam wasn't whipped cream or whipped cream product. It was foam fluffed residue from the bullshit fake shake. Screw dairy queen, they deserve a dry sandpaper screwing.

Dairy queen ice cream is terrible. It's brutally cold when you first get it. 2 minutes later it's melting into a disgusting mess. Pretty sure it's because it's mostly ice rather than cream. Basically frozen sugar water.

What hatchet job This is bullshit! A lot of ice cream is made the same way, a lot and although my ice cream is made from scratch I have experimented with some of those ingredients to reduce the fat content without sacrificing the creaminess. The health and safety problem is local and the problem with the franchise owner. Dairy Queen uses the same ingredients that a lot of ice cream in grocery stores have mashed is just trying to stir some shit up.
