I Matia bazar furono un gruppo che meritava una fama internazionale. Se avessero cantato in inglese e avessero avuto un buon agente, sarebbero stati come i bee gees o gli Abba
Anche meglio, considerato che facevano tutto loro stessi (testi, musiche, arrangiamenti, adattamenti, etc.)
concordo, io li paragono di piu' ai Fleetwood Mac per via della voce femminile e il genere pop rock melodico, e poi sia Antonella Ruggiero che Stevie Nicks all'epoca erano due delle donne piu' belle in assoluto
Sugli Abba non saprei. Questi lanciarono davvero decine di hit stratosferiche, rimaste nella storia della musica mondiale, i matia bazar molto meno, anche se avessero cantato in inglese. Ma hanno anche un bagaglio di pezzi occulti, di livello elevatissimo, di qualità totalmente sconosciuta agli Abba.
Concordo in pieno - la voce di Antonella e le capacità compositive della band erano uniche nel loro genere, dal pop più spudoratamente commerciale, alla musica rock progressive fino al synth più sofisticato.
