Bader the unsung hero

Over the last 7 years since he came into the league I've never seen a backup catcher get robbed more on nice hits than Nido. Dude always crushes the ball but a fielder always makes some stellar play.

I absolutely lost it while I was driving & listening to the game today! I had a feeling Mark was gonna send it before it happened. This kid had a chip on his shoulder coming in & he showed everyone why he's meant to be here... we all dream of moments like this growing up & he's finally actualizing it... this guy is far from done, he's just getting started. Also, big shoutout to Bader for never saying die - his energy is contagious, and it was quite poetic to see him fight to tie the game & provide Vientos the opportunity to shine in such a big moment... this is a special group of talent & I pray we could build on this type of momentum & ride that wave to the title 💯💪🏼#LFGM

I'm an old man now. I've been a Met fan since 1984 - Gooden's rookie year. 40 years now. I don't get excited for much - this as well, not a big deal - BUT - it's nice to see Vientos get a big hit. I don't expect him to do much in his career - he strikes out way too much. He was clearly fired up about coming through in this spot.
I feel like he’s gonna get leapfrogged by one of the top prospects waiting in the wings. Feels to me like they just don’t know what to do with him and he hasn’t been good enough to show that they need to find a way to have him in the lineup.
Sure he strikes out a lot but has he ever gotten a fair shot to get acclimated to mlb pitching? Let the kid cook everyday and see what hes actually got. You might be a better judge of talent than me but i have no idea what he could be capable of if hes allowed to play. Hes got power and a bat like that is always a threat.

Vientos is a victim of Mets cultural biased of preferring average veterans over against raising prospects (I am a Mets fan since 80s). He should of been here from Day 1.

I’m asking a serious question here. The rule change a year or two ago about blocking the plate. The catcher for the Cardinals literally blocked the whole plate off to Lindor with no path. Why was it not overturned?
