Glad you enjoyed it. The courtyard is my favorite thing about this motel, by far. When we stayed there in 2006, I had my dad, his brother, my 2 sons, and another cousin with us. We played basketball that night. Lots of fun. Shawnasi didn't want to play basketball this time...
Yes, some motels will charge an early check-in fee, and some don't. We've encountered this before at other places, but most places will let you in if the room is ready. Especially if it is just an hour early.
I am so happy you had a good stay. I think its silly to charge $10 an hour for early check in , after driving and it being so hot I would be ready to relax a bit. But everyone does things differently. Stay safe yall. Sending much love from Ky
I've encountered the early check-in fee only once. Like you, it was only one hour. And, I had a reservation! Never stayed there again! Reported it to the loyalty plan. Got comped for the inconvenience. If you want a Western-themed hotel, try the Dude Rancher in Billings, Montana. God Bless!
It’s a running joke with some of my high school friends (graduated in’75 - you do the math, lol), they know not to call me when Gunsmoke and Wagon Train are on TV! Be safe. 💕🛣️🚘
We honestly were not bothered by the noise. I'm not even sure how late they stayed up playing out there. I don't remember hearing anything, but I do think there's a time limit where all activity must cease out there. I know when we were there in 2006, they made my dad get out of the swimming pool at a certain time.

If we're ever up near Billings, we'll check it out. Haven't made it that far yet. Charging a fee for 1 hour, is ludicrous.
