I need that piano cover for the intro rn my man, I went to the music channel and could not find it

This got me crying laughing because I stopped an Abyssoft video to watch this one
Oh I don’t actually know that one. I love finding new creators thanks!!
"Babe wake up a new Speedrun Explanation video dropped!"
"Oh neat! Is it a Bismuth one or a Summoning Salt one?"
"Yes."
You are luckier than you know. My girl likes speedrunning videos due to me also. I makes me so happy she likes something I do that most girls would get bored of 1.4 minutes in and say "that's stupid"

The We're Landing piano version took until "Bismuth presents" until I realized what it was. Good show, lad.
meanwhile I realized on the second chord somehow lmao
@@psymar Bismuth is both solid at piano and has a style. Love this cover
Love that he played it!
@@8justintracy8 Bismuth playing We're Landing on the piano is objectively the best (if not only) way to start this video.
Somehow first chord for me, but I think the title clued me in early. Also knowing that Bismuth does his own soundtrack on this beautiful sounding upright piano.

Nice work undertaking this monster task!
The piano arrangements and performances absolutely elevate these videos and I just wanna make sure they get the recognition they deserve

Love them!
Same! i love that he has an entire side channel of piano covers, it's so gooood
We get it autist can play piano
As an osrs player, my ears perked up when I heard the Yesteryear during the Soda Popinsky fight!
Now Salt needs to upload "The Quest to Beat Bismuth"
I'm not even sure you can beat Bismuth.
Guess it will stay a quest then
@@SushiElemental "But there was one man that was able to undertake this quest. And his name...
...was Matt Turk."
@@charlessegale6493 Yeah that's the power triangle. Bismuth, Matt Turk and the 20XX Punchout speedrun community.
He would probably have to put out a 5h 22min video explaining the complete history of a 2.5 decade old challenge in as much detail as humanly possible while still keeping it as entertaining and understandable as possible to beat him. or something like that idk i just made that up
The intro music being a piano intro of Salt’s intro song is so fucking peak, Bismuth.
Even better because (according to another comment here) he played it himself.
@@athenaraines he plays all the piano in all his videos, hes so good

When your community spends years living in the shadow of Matt Turk, you just kind of have to make your own fun, y'know?
The cover of Home We’re Finally Landing to open this on piano is so fucking cute. I love these two creators so much.
As a side tangent, it's so cool to me that all the graphs here are a very good example of the Central Limit Theorem. Even tho a lot of the individual cases have weird probabilities and oddly-shaped graphs, when you add all of them up, they pretty quickly turn into that classic S-shaped normal distribution
"However, it bends time in a way us mere mortals cannot comprehend"
and then he explains it anyway

This is a terrific breakdown, but shoutout to Bald Bull 1. All too often, I see high level play and think "oh wow, that was clean" only for the streamer to sigh and grumble, and I don't have the context to understand what went wrong.
This vid broke down the AI ahead of time, but then also showed the AI choices with "good" or "bad" overlaid on the video. That gave me all the context I needed to go "oh, yeah, he got screwed by RNG" and be right there with Salt. Great editing work!
I really enjoyed the quick explanations right before showing the IRL run footage. It helped me understand what I'm about to watch so succinctly.
This is the first Punch Out video where I could actually hear Super Macho Man's audio cue. My ear was always searching for a different start sound, instead of an end sound, but after you explained it I could hear it if I focused.
Very cool video, thoroughly enjoyed that.
also, did you really have to show my Don 2 choke 😢
The legend!
he did you dirty with that one
Blame Salt
@@Bismuth9 blame jared.
20:59 Speedrunning video: "framerule"
Me, minding my own business: "Hey, where'd this bus stop come from?"
LoL I think of it that way also.
"So basically, think of it as a bus"
i love how the moment you got the opportunity to make a speedrunning documentary about your friend, you hopped right on it, that is so precious, love this for you
Now we need a world record of how quickly you can explain the world record, framerule race 2.0
Actually, the explainer videos are deep dives which are intentiinally long.
So the record would be for the longest and most indepth explanation.
@@OnTheThirdDay They're referring to the specific 'how fast you can explain the framerule' speedrun gag that both SS and Bismuth did in their respective videos.
Is no one going to mention just how Little Mac/Punch Out this WR is? Summoning Salt lags behind then pulls off amazing odds to best the standing title like a complete underdog.
Thanks for the explanation of Macho Man's sound cue at 52:15; now that I know what I'm listening for, I can just about make it out. Definitely not something I'd use while playing a video game, though; Salt's ears are much better tuned to that sound than mine.
I somehow only found your channel recently bismuth and I'm so glad I did. As someone who loves deep dives into anything, I found your channel to be top-tier quality hands down. The amount of time and energy you put into your videos shows for itself so you should be proud because your killing it man 👏
So happy for you to find this channel! Have fun watching all the old videos :)
I love how you played We’re Finally Landing on piano for this video. Your cover sounds great!
I love that Salt spent the beginning of this run bantering about 3-D printers with chat, and then with each major hurdle he gets more focused in. It really shows the culture of speedruns, a lot of monotony and then suddenly, The Run.
you know, after defeating bowser, mastering cloning and traveling through parallel universes at incomprehensible speed, maybe mario deserves a calm job as a referee
30:16 props for doing the Monte Carlo simulations and making a freaking CDF plot part of the storytelling
That "We're finally landing" piano cover is so beautiful
Loved the 3D printing commentary in juxtaposition with how technical Bismuth was being lol
We're finally landing cover by Bismuth. Where has this been all my life.
I've watched a billion punch out videos and this is the first one to talk about the clock. As expected of you, thanks!
The Mappy piano music put a big smile on my face!
The funny thing is that this collab wouldn't work in reverse, unless Bismuth started an entire history of WR speedruns
Bismuth was a WR holder in the past!!
Bismuth clears summoningsalt
Bismuth has held the wr in the best selling game of all time what are you on about lol
@@1ted59 i don'r want to be that guy but... he literally was athe first person to ever be documented completely a run.
The history of Jetpac (1 rocket DK64 version)
I really want to highlight how much better this probability analysis is than the really common "just multiply a bunch of numbers together" approach that gives impressively massive, meaningless values. It's not just more accurate - it allows visualisations like your final slide down to "what does a 1 in a million run look like" at the end. You even get to sense-check your estimate by comparing to Salt's run-count, and they're very reasonably comparable when you add in the element of human execution.
I really love this, and want to give you a big pat on the back to encourage more of it.
Dude, I need a full piano cover of We're Finally Landing. That was absolutely killer to listen to in the intro.
There probably is an AI that could generate the song.
@@OnTheThirdDay or a person who likes the songs and piano could do that because, you know, we've evolved to be creative about things we're passionate about rather dumbly consume whatever mush AI "produces"
@@OnTheThirdDay An AI cover is going to be lame as hell regardless of how well it reproduces the song.
Maybe he's gonna upload it to his second channel eventually! ^^
@muffinmcmuffin9849 This isn't true at all bro, if the notes are the same and played at the exact same time, anyone couldn't grasp the difference.
Hearing a piano rendition of We're finally landing made me smile.
Great video as always, Bismuth!

That's awesome
Welp. My night is planned.
Bismuth explaining Summoning Salt's WR? What is this? A crossover episode?
Doggy Doggy What Now?
We need to get Abyssoft and Jobst involved somehow.
Even when he's celebrating, Summoning Salt still has that gentle calmness.
Great video!
can you guys just collab already you keep teasing each other like this
the answer of your question is in Bismuth's FAQ from a few years ago.

Now we need Summoning Salt to explain Bismuth's video. Or, better yet, have Bismuth speedrun a game so Summoning Salt can explain *that*
Bismuth did some speedrun, he got a WR on Minecraft at AGDQ 2015(?).
He's running a DK game rn on twitch
What a beautiful tribute video to both Summoning Salt's own videos, and his impressive achievements.
26:11 i love how you synced up the melody of the music to the speech there, very cool detail

How incredible and unbelievably inspiring. Thanks for an amazing upload.
That was insane! And you made an amazing video and explanation, as well!
I don't think it would be outlandish to say that summoning salt is the most dominant champion any game has ever had in the modern era with this game
Bro doing a piano cover for every song youd want to normally use is beyond cracked. I found you from SMS glitches and ive followed since. I appreciate you and love your work. May good favor, prosperity, and music smile on you!
I love how you and SS are two angles to the same genre. Even better is how you work cooperatively instead of competitively to improve both channels. Every video is must-watch.
Liked the video for the piano cover alone, that was beautiful.

Bismuth the piano cover is heavenly
What an incredible ode to an incredible creator. Genuinely such a wholesome watch
Amazing video. Bismuth is the goat. Salt is a baller. Also, the sidewalk nap part of the ad was good. I gigged.
Summoning Salt puts so much effort into giving other people the credit they deserve for their great achievements, its ony right he gets that same appreciation!!
the piano rendition at the start is a nice touch.
