    Update 28 Feb 2023: Newport Poker Room has moved to the Garden Wing, smoking areas, with only 8 tables operating. Obviously this brings down the score significantly

      Hello Crispin, you met me by the casino reg room about 4 days ago. Following our conversation there are yet more things that happened. I don't know if it's possible but if you give me some email address or alternative posting link I can give you a wealth of info in case you're preparing a follow-up review of this lot. Thanks

      The BS you get here from dealers is absolutely DREADFUL, it goes beyond belief. If I tell every single incident experienced, there is no human being on earth who can believe me I think

    I've just been there and couldn't agree more! Great review! The games are very soft in the $1-$2 (₱100 - ₱200). I play in the UK most of the year where games are pretty soft but resorts world manila is next level. Also, the dealers are super fast which keeps the game going. Small changes like when the betting is over they will show the next card first before collecting the betting into the pot. That makes the game even faster as players can already decide or think about their following actions. Great location with tons of players at any time of the day. Number one poker room in manila.

      Hey man !
      I would greatly appreciate if you could give more information about poker there. I'm currently in Thailand traveling and at the end of the month I'm planning a Poker trip. Since there is not a lot of poker around here I believe that Manila is my best option compared to Cambodia.
      Is there any way we could exchange our contact so you could answer a few of my questions.
      thanks a lot

      What is the rake 5% . But what is the max rake ? and do they rake before flop ?

      Wait $1 is 100 peso?
      Do Americans get a much better rate? It’s 66peso to the £ and I’m pretty sure the $ has never been stronger than the £!

    The dealers here are terrible. Saw an exceptionally bad one who unintentionally exposed cards while dealing like 3 out of every 10 deals or something. Most of them generally have poor spatial awareness and might miss your non-verbal checking cues unless you make it very very obvious.
    Also one weird quirk is that you have to pay 1BB as a new player at the table, even if you decide to skip the button.

    What's is the max rake 5% ? But how much total they can rake out of a 960$ pot for example? Also do they rake before flop ?

    • @pokerroomreviews
      @pokerroomreviews  Před rokem +1

      Hi there, max rake is 4bbs at low stakes, so max will take in that scenario is about $8. However yes they do rake pre-flop if the pot is over a certain amount.

      They always get 100-200 up in the evening (min 20k max 100k), but usually just the one table.
