lol next prototype will have iPads for monitors.
A Mooney Aircraft is over $ 800,000.
The first thing you need to do is get a pilot license (first a physical). The pilot license will cost about $15,000 plus training on this aircraft.
It only holds 2 people so if you are going to shuttle people back and forth in a city you will need one that will hold many more people.
The FAA is worried about us flying our small drones, just think what they will restrict when these things start flying around.
Their more worried about all those Biden refugees flooding the country and getting in these Kamikazi terror weapons.
$15,000 for a licence? xDDDDDDDDD in my country it is 3 times cheaper) What a difference in prices and salaries in different countries, terrible... Even a private light aircraft is 30 times cheaper than their vehicle, no one outside the US will buy it - the price is exorbitant
Private pilots don't fly to save money....
@@Beecher_Dikov I'd love to fly not to save money too, although it doesn't correspond to the concept of "aerotaxi" because the pilot has to get money and pay off his plane.
dаmn I'd just take a bus to a neighbouring town to hang out without saving money. But I can't afford it. You can "not to save money" only when you have them.
And of course I understand that in the U.S. salaries from 3000 to 10000 dollars a month, but in my country 1000 a month is unacceptably luxurious salary, to live steadily 300 bucks is enough, it's just what the U.S. produces and sells for its price tag - the rest of the world often can not afford.
The fly to save time and enjoy the freedom of flying.@@Beecher_Dikov
Matt here from the State of Vermont, where ANYTHING can be registered without any type of physical inspection. Good job on finding the loophole. To all you dirtbike riders and people that want an easy way to make things road legal, anything 300cc and under with a motor can be registered as street legal as long as it has a Horn, one side mirror, running headlight and tail light/brake light. YOU'RE WELCOME!
At nearly 800k I can confirm this will not be in everyones garage!
It will be in mine😎😎
They’ll probably have cheaper versions. Remember the one that’s 800k looks way more fancy than that version. He said it’s designed after the rolls royce

Been nice to see the damn thing fly...
It doesn't fly.
only if you also wanted to see it crash.
If it actually flies, then why would they get pulled over by the cops? Just take off... it's not like they can follow you!
@@Mr.EkshinThen they’d be in trouble with the FAA and that’s even worse than the cops. The FAA doesn’t even have to witness a violation to open an investigation and their investigations are relentless.
It can't fly.
Commuting? I can just imagine the chaos of 50,000 of those approaching London on a dark stormy February morning.
You are aware that flying vehicles are not allowed to fly in all weather conditions, right?
Boom 💥
If you have IFR certs for the aircraft and the pilot
@@raistraw8629We've always had those they're called helicopters. This has more moving parts and probably more high maintenance!
@@Garland.Greene2296
OK, and what does that have to do with the fact that all flying vehicles, whether helicopters, airplanes, etc., are not allowed to fly in all weather conditions?
This is never a car, it's an aircraft
Basically a flying taxi, but would have very limited drop off points away from airport. Roads can damage the mechanical components over time.
Does if fly or does it just look like it would fly?
High speed chases bout to go craazy 😂
FOR ONLY 250 MILES LOL
If you have enough to buy one of these and operate it I’m pretty sure you have no need to run from the po po 🤣🤣🤣🤣
CHP WILL NOW CARRY RPGs
These cars are absolutely insane, I love every since one
This is the plane version of that submarine. Solid nope 😂😂
🤣
Xbox controller sold separately 😂
The government is really sus about the flying cars
Better ones out there all ready .
I don't think it's the future.... yet. Very cool Jettsonish concept though.
So, in the future it will be the future?
they totally lied abt flying it too lol otherwise why skip that part of the video lmao
1:07 STRADMAN YOOOOOO
I am keeping my money until I see it actually fly...
Yeah man keep it in ur banks.
Although this is very cool, I absolutely wanted to see a lift off, flight and landing.
never happening over any population. too dangerous. FAA wont let that sucker fly it will never pass safety.
Pulled over for "Driving while VTOLing". She also ran a stop sign and a red light 😂
yeah just spread your rotors out and go straight up and over the stop light...
Im an aviation enthusiast and a pilot and I cant emphasize how silly and unconventional this conglomeration is.. All they need to do is take a helicopter that has counter rotation rotors that fold back and put wheels under it and it would actually be something you could certify and fly!
I don't think people understand flying cars are still long long away if ever even going to exist for a average consumer.
If only they could make it look like a Bugatti...😊
What colour is yours? 😂
Like in Elysium. That one was nice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
I'm glad they didn't. Bugattis are ugly!
@@davidwarmels7945 no
Love it! I think we are missing something here....power plant??? No way it gets 250 miles if it's carrying modern batteries.
Maybe it has a 4 cylinder engine to keep the batteries charged long enough to get that range.
Will have that range with Solid State Batteries I'd imagine. Right now with current batteries you could only fly 1-hour on fixed wing light aircraft.
the wings will probably generate most of the lift during normal flight so power consumption should be way less with only 2 motors running
You should have said, "I swear I wasn't flying, officer."
How chaotic would it be if everyone had one,I don't see any future in this unless you make it more expensive to have one.
Theres a thing called flight levels for VFR. By the time eVTOLS are being sold to retail AI (FSD)will be well and truly in charge.
All of the VTOL’s are amazing feats of engineering. But the time for a flying car will never come until they don’t need wings or thrust blast to “fly”/lift off.
🛸
Meh. I'll wait until we have subspace transporters. ;-)
The way that thing was creeking, I am glad they stayed on the ground
Stradman casually taking a photo at 1:08
I've been told that it's a big no-no to call it a "flying car" ... given the price, I guess they can justify calling it a "Roadable Aircraft..." 😂
It is cron. car drone.
I can't be the only one who was expecting an aerial police pursuit in this video
“License and registration please”
“Nope! See ya!”

Like in "Fifth Element"...
That cars an epic futuristic deal.

There are many great cops out there. When you really need one, like when someone has broken into your home, these guys are crazy brave and helpful. I've seen both sides of cops.

It would be an air traffic nightmare.
Love it when people have dreams. Many versions of this concept have been tried. Some day it will be a reality.
Cool stuff. Love it. I would like having one of these.
But imagine this: Some drivers have problems navigating in two dimensions. Now add the third dimension and what could possibly go wrong? 😁
That's quite a luggage rack it has on top 😂
With a project like this you should ALWAYS start with the most difficult part as the basis .... So START with something that FLIES and convert it to something that drives NOT the other way round.... A lot of these so called flying cars have that problem its in the NAME.... It should be DRIVING AIRPLANE.
They’re going to sell enough of these to reduce congestion ? 😂.
Yeppers I've been hearing about this for a while now and am so happy to see it is a reality near! I believe it is the future of cars and planes in general! It will be a big mess considering if everybody owns one how this is going to stop traffic jams and congestion I don't see it at all! More collisions and more money are what I see happening until it is all in actual working programs such as the trucks and cars that drive themselves!
As far as I can see from this video, it's an $800K flying car... that doesn't actually fly? And it's not really a car... more of a motorcycle? And it doesn't drive very well either? Not very fast? Not good at cornering?
So thus far they've shown us that this thing is a super expensive car that's not a very good car, and not actually a plane either. And as far as expensive cars go, this one's quite homely too.
It might be awhile before this becomes a reality. You need automatic cars to be standard before automatic drone vehicles becomes a thing. Mainly the issue I see is if a drone motor fails and causes it to fall into traffic, buildings and other people. Atleast with automatic cars they'd pull over and let the flying vehicle do an emergency landing. You need alot more infrastructure too specific for landing and take off not just at airports or private runways. Can't go out to the store to buy something and come back on this for example.
It's more for those that have their own landings at the moment (like chopper use to go home to work etc).
A chicken in every pot and a Plane and a helicopter in everyone's Hanger
Ah yes. Flying cars for everyone. Its just a few years away. Like cold fusion and free energy
Yes, I get your sarcasm. This will never be a common thing, during our lifetime.
This would be useful if you owned a chain of islands that have paved roads but no readily available ground transport?
Amazing gadget! I am wondering what type of safety technology is employed? What if one or two of the propeller motors go defective. Are there backup systems in case a controller board or a processor board fails? And so on...
When flying a helicopter I can tell you of there is a rotor or blade failure the ground comes to you very fast!
Why worry? This will never fly. Do you think turning a Delorean in to a back to the future replica makes it travel through time?
@@byteme9718
Apparently, these prototypes are flying. They are working on the same type of platform as vertical takeoff military drones that can carry some thousands of pounds of payload.
Eventually, after all the necessary development has been done these will be commercially available. They will be regulated as like an aircraft should be. The only difference is these vehicles can fold up in a way where they can be driven like a car on the road.
A companies called Klein Vision, Rolls Royce, eVTOL AVX Aska, Joby, Alef and others have operating flying cars being experimented with.
@@jerryfacts9749 It may get off the ground but will never be allowed to fly and will never be driven "like a car". It has as much chance of being a commercial success as Colin Furze' hover bike.
Do you have any idea of the cost of military equipment? Such a comparison is meaningless.
flying car.......🤣🤣🤣
At $789,000 dollars, they are sure to be in every garage in America!
Especially it will be in demand in other countries, like Russia or the UK, where salaries are 30 times higher than in the US (no)....

When you was watching did you see the stradman.
It’s less of a FLYING CAR and more of a DRIVABLE HELICOPTER.
no way i could spend 800k on that
this is far better than flying bikes and bicycles bcos it shields you against rain and can carry more than one person.
And it contains all the body parts if it crashes.
1:34 how awesome must it be to drive a bugatti at that young age.

These are insane!!
Thank you for sharing this.Im excited to see the future of transportation .
Totally disappointed, i thought you are actually going to fly😂
1. Do you need a license for this?
2. Wouldn't you have to get air clearance from a nearby airport tower?
3. Would you have to identify yourself as a plane taking off into the sky upon lift-off?
4. What will be the aeronautical allowances to use this in the US?
In america you can identify as whatever you want in 2023 😂
@@69exp I don't trust this machine then
Seeing this is cool but I can't help but wonder what happened to the *_AeroMobile_* vehicle from that company in Slovakia. That car was awesome and last I heard they were doing test flights. I hope you get a chance to ride/drive that!
AeroMobile is dead, bankrupt, but the project carried on to a new one called AirCar by one of its former creators. Latest info from March 2023 is, it is still in development with updated design and potential new capabilities of seating 4 instead of just 2. Still in experimental phase though. Nothing new since then.

Are there any safety measures in case it drops out of the air?

Nope. You die. Say your prayers when it drops
If everyone would fly these huge things in to a city and drive to their final destination, I think that would cause more congestion, not less.
That thing has 4 wheels. It wouldn't be registered as a motorcycle. That same issue is what killed the Dodge Tomahawk.
nice flying really fast 😂

I'm a British citizen. Since I started trading with Mr. David Ramsey a year ago, he has shown to be the best and most reliable broker. I heartily advise him.
He's a great personality in the state 🇺🇸 I'm also earning from him.
I've lost quite a good number of coins in the current dip, I just hope I find a way to recover from such a massive loss.
I made a lot from last week, a vision of the effective signals alone assured me of the turnovers. all thanks to Mr David Ramsey
Once it flies it's no longer a car
They say flying is safer than driving. That wont be true anymore
Clearly hasn’t looked over the mishap rates for GA aircraft. Still need a PPL and is clearly only VFR. Still love it though shame we didn’t get to see it fly or have more info on the specs and propulsion.
It may have some military application but that'll be it, I think. This sort of flying car concept has been around since I was a kid in the fifties!
I love a wacky stuff as much as anyone, but this thing as a car would seem to me to have aero of a house!
A Vtol with retractable wings that can move its props from vertical to horizontal, creating a more reliable, safer car able to fly faster and further.
Then, such an aircraft that is more like a drone.
With limited road capabilities!
And flight range!
At a time when range and efficiency are called upon, to help further the Progression towards renewables!⚖️
I would NOT trust that at all. It just doesn't look safe at all. No thank you.

Flying Uber…
I hope it won't crash in midair and then crash into homes.
That's not a flying car. That's more like a plane that can legally drive on the road.
Try hybrid
I have a flying car build in 1920 and is all in the garage built by my great-grandfather and it's still usable to fly and it looks better than all these new ones they have
Model t engines probably dont have the power,
Get it. You can fly it in your backyard without a Pilot License
*"Can you imagine if everyone had one of these in the future"!? Are you kidding me!? You're living in a fantasy world if you think everyone's going to be able to afford an $800,000 car/plane!*
Cool vid on SB part, but like I always said that if you try to make a flying car you get a very bad car and a very bad aerial vehicle that no one can really afford. Technically and philosophically this type of vehicle is a dead end.
It's like a giant drone
It's not a car! It's a helicoptor!
The fact that they don't demonstrate the flying capabilities should tell you something. If it flys good then they would of showed us.
