- This song is about Hailey Owens, the 10 year old who was kidnapped and killed by a man. She was an innocent child who this shouldn't have happened to. I really needed to write down my feelings about it because it affected so many people. I pray for the family and friends, and I hope this can help you get a piece of mind. I am not claiming I know her, I just wrote this because it affected me in a significant way. Please take a listen. I want to help as many people as possible.

This is beautiful. My daughter goes to Bowerman and even though she did not know her, they had the same teachers and you can feel the hurt and pain in the schools, the community. I hurt and have cried every night over this but having to be strong at the same time.

I never had the honor of meeting Hailey or her family but they have and always will have my support and prayers. I pray her family finds some comfort in the words in your song, I know I have. I always keep a light on for Hailey. Dearest Hailey, May your light always shine upon all who feel sorrow and pain, and may your spirit help guide them through darkness and fears.
