I have no idea what they are actually going to do at this point.
That said, crazy, off the wall, wish upon a star type move, for a coach, he brings in pending ufa Rod Brind'amour. Not gonna happen, but certainly addresses many needs.
You need guys like Matthews 👍 eichel, P Kane, Gretzky......game breaker

Staios that doesn’t know what he is doing. We will miss the playoffs again next year and Brady will ask for a trade and the excuse will be he wanted to move for his kid.

What is upsetting is Andlauer placed a friend as GM with no experience and that totaly looks clued out. I will be shock if we see much trades. They are both friends with Gruden and I bet he is the new HC. This team is a long ways from the playoffs. The way Staios talked, we dont need to worry about playoffs for another 3-5 years. And without major trades this off season, he is correct. I bet Braddy, Timmy, and Sandy asks to be traded next year.
I agree. He shouldn’t have got the GM position. Look at the Tarasenko trade. That was a horrible trade in my opinion. You got nothing for him, sent him where he wanted to go, and kept half the salary. He won’t do anything major. He will use the excuse, there wasn’t a good deal. Because he doesn’t know what he is doing. Hire all his friends and they will never get fired.
@@buddha6954oh, for heaven’s sake. How many more times is this dead horse gonna get beaten to death!? Tarasenko had a *NMC*! Tarasenko only wanted to be traded to Florida and no where else which is why Staios got an underwhelming trade for him. You can’t say he’s a bad GM just off of one trade where he had no position of power. See what he does in the off-season then you can judge him.
Ottawa could solve three problems in this draft although it might take a little longer for these guys to be NHL ready. With their 1st rd pick they should draft Carter Yakemchuk RD & that would solve their top 4 RD once Yakemchuk is NHL ready. With their next 1st rd pick they should draft Terik Parascak RW who would be a Giroux replacement down the road once he too is NHL ready. With their 2nd rd pick they should pick Charlie Elick RD who could someday push JBD out of the equation & just like that Ottawa's defence gets much bigger, much tougher, more offence & much harder to play against assuming Kleven also replaces Bfrannstrom.
I would also trade Chychrun LD & Korpisalo G to Boston for Ullmark G & Jake DeBrusk solving their need for a #1 goalie & adding a top six forward. Boston has Frederic & Heinen to replace DeBrusk at a much cheaper price saving them some cap space & Korpisalo also saves them a million.
