The most hilarious description of Selection I’ve witnessed. All of our SF are so well trained, and I think they are all excellent. Staz is one of the most interesting and entertaining ones I have watched and listened to. A real character. And clearly very intelligent and skilled. Glad it was available on CZcams. His descriptions of events are fascinating, and the descriptions of people, very funny. I rarely laugh out loud at something like this. But Dodge did, and I joined him! it was truly excellent. Great interview, amazing stuff! Without doubt the most detailed any ex-SF soldier has gone into on ops, its either the 'Secrecy Act' isn't as strict as were all told it is or Staz don't give a monkeys LOL!!

    I wasnt SF.
However, can absolutely relate to Staz ref: R&R and that weird feeling of walking around town after being on ops. The normailty of life, was just alien to me. that was 30 Years ago, halfway through Grapple (Bosnia).
Staz, you give an excellent account of yourself; engaging, articulate and instantly likeable. Good luck to you mate.

Consider this from the podcast “It’s difficult to receive stuff when you feel likes it your job, it’s like giving Lewis Hamilton a medal every time he wins a race”…
Well Staz, they give him a massive bloody trophy every time he wins a race, so there’s no comparison… Yours is unquestionably well deserved for ‘doing your job’ in theatre, we’re glad you were on our team.
BZ mate for sharing so much on a brilliant podcast, well done Dodge also. 👌
