  • Best Heat Press Machine To Start A Home T-Shirt Business On A Budget (Unboxing HPN Craft Pro 15x15)
    In this video I unbox the HPN Craft Pro 15x15 heat press machine that i will be using to restart my home t-shirt business. When searching for a good heat press machine to start your business there are a ton of things you should consider.
    First and foremost, you need to consider your budget is going play a major part on what heat press machine you choose. While amazon and ebay have some very cheap options, however i don't believe you should choose your press based on price alone.
    Secondly, you must consider the size press you would like to have i dont suggest going less then a 15x15 for a home t-shirt business unless you are planning to be super mobile. So your options are pretty much 15"x15" or 16"x20" but for starting out and being on a budget 15"x15" is what we will be looking at.
    Third, features I mean most heat press machines come with the standard features and the only cheap real feature you find is the bunch in on features where it gives you hat, mug, and other options which i personally don't like the thought of because your already going cheap and that gives you more things that could go wrong.
    BUT...
    HPN added the slide out drawer to a entry level machine and this is the single reason you should purchase this as your first heat press machine for your business.
    Lastly, quality of the machine and company/brand behind the heat press machine and HEAT PRESS NATION has taken this industry by storm as a brand and quality of press at the price points they offer.

When I say I'm new I'm 100% new. I personally like having a heat press. I invested in a heat press nation one and it's so worth it. I just purchased one, and so glad I picked this one! I was so tired of researching and reading mixed reviews on Amazon, that I decided to search youtube and came across this video. This is my first heat press, and I didn't want anything too large, but this machine is not that big for a 15x15, but it is very heavy. The buttons were easy to set and it is very smooth. I love the slide-out feature and I feel safe using it. I've seen other presses that people use where their hands are right under the hot plate which terrifies me, so I don't have to worry about that with this machine. I am very happy with my purchase.. thanks for a great and honest video!

      Well I talked to heat press nation and they do have a 16x20 and a 16x24 portrait style,which means that 20" is going up-and-down rather than left and right. I ordered it and it's awesome I realized that 15" isn't enough so I sent that back and got a 16 x 20 portrait style which is perfect. I suppose 24" would be even better but that Extra 5" is perfect because alot of my designs are bigger than 15" so you have to adjust the shirt and heat press a second time which I don't like and can cause the vinyl to not be applied properly heating it up again. With the 20" I can get pretty much any design with one press. So I will save everybody a lot of time, forget the 15x15 it will limit you go for a 16x20 portrait style heat press,trust me you will thank me. I found out it's only like 30 bucks more I thought it was hundreds more so why the hell wouldn't you lol. And one more thing I ordered a swing away press and it didn't swing all the way off the platen which made it harder to use than a clamshell. Unless you get the really expensive Stahls heatpress the HPN brand doesn't swing all the way off the platen and its sucks trying to adjust the shirt trust me. It is a horrible horrible design. Anyway sorry for such a long reply I hope I can help people through my trial and error.

    I am thinking that the pull out tray will save my back from too much leaning over.
    The pull down arm looks really hard to pull back up after it's done. I'm an older woman without the strength that you have in your arms. So, if I lessen the tightness of the top plate will I still get a good adhesion? Could I set the timer for a little longer to make up the difference?
    Thanks for a great video. Very well explained.

    • @StanBanks
      @StanBanks  Před 5 lety +1

      Sublimation needs even pressure for thinker sub straights outside of shirts. So a swing away is better because it’s a straight up and down press and it’s always flat. Clam shells do fine for thinner sub straight and they have been made with some give. But it’s un natural for anything thick.

      @@StanBanks what do yu mean by thicker sub straights and thinner sub straights? Is that like how thick the materials of the clothing are? At what temperature would you say would be best if trying to press a pair of jeans? Appreciate your time and great video!!

  • @whatstheteemorebyrocexpres3047

    I got the 16x20 from Heat Press Nation and the mother board was broken. They sent a replacement part and it still didn’t work. Shipped it back (horrible experience), and they shipped another one. Opened the new box and broken pieces were all over the box. It was bolted to a wooden board for shipping but arrived damaged twice. Ended up ordering a nicer press from Sign Warehouse. Great customer support and got a bunch of free stuff.
