  • Watch this video before purchasing your heat press. I own and use 3 16x19 inch heat presses. I have previously reviewed them but thought it would be appropriate to give a more detailed review of my feelings after living with them all for a few years. In this video you get a breakdown of the Wala Pro Press from Heat Transfer Warehouse, the Ricoma Heat Press and the Heat press nation signature series press. These are my honest thoughts as well as the pro's anc cons about each press. This is your heat press precautionary buying guide.

      Seems like if it where auto open in might be the starship enterprise. It is excellent but no auto open for the price us very unfortunate. Even pressure is a feature that I hear companies talk about as a selling point but from my cheapest heat press when I first got started to my wala pro I have never experienced one part of my design being heated or pressed down and the other not getting pressed. T-Shirts can’t be “threaded” at all on it.
    What I do is put a large piece of high density, high heat resistant pressed wool inside the T-shirt, to separate front/rear and make it pressure displacement more even. The item (wool) is originally made for ironing textiles without board.

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  Před rokem +2

      I’ve done that with presses and honestly from my very first cheap press to every press ive ever used including these the fluctuation and slight variance in temperature from one corner to the next does not effect any of their ability to press vinyl, cure a dtg shirt, make a white toner transfer or anything else. It’s a selling point that manufacturers use but in my opinion it doesn’t matter cause they all do what they are supposed to do. I’ve never seen anyone or heard of anyone saying the vinyl didn’t come off in the upper right because the temperature was not as high………. You get the point. It doesn’t matter. To me at least.

      For future reference, a heat gun aka infrared thermometer is not an accurate tool for making sure your heatpress is heating properly. A pyrometer is what you need and will give you way more accurate results.

      @galagazee But isn’t an infrared thermometer kind of a type of pyrometer? I think both instruments are use case. The Pyrometer might be more accurate but the gun was invented for safety. Either way it’s not that serious in this instance. When pressing vinyl and doing sublimation people all over are using all types of presses. Super accurate temperature is not necessary. It’s a myth. People are even using little small hand presses. Exact temperature is not necessary.

    I think Wala being compared is $400 more than the others.

    Why thread a shirt on a lower cost Heat Press when the thread-able feature simply doesn't exist? Make-do methods don't always yield the best results. The Heatpress Nation Signature Series wasn't manufactured and didn't offer thread-able Heat Presses for T-shirts at their price points. I inquired about this early on while I was researching the Proworld Transpro 16X20 Heat Press which claims to be thread-able at a very low price point.
    Heatpress Nation did recommend the higher-end Heat Presses such as the HIX EVO which specifically has the Splitter Stand to allow garments to be threaded onto the lower plate just like the WALAPress Pro. High volume t-shirt production necessitates justifiable higher end Heat Presses. A pressing pad is most cost effective on a lower price Heat Press IMHO.

      I’m talking about things that I like and dislike about machines that I have to help people make the best decision they can when picking a press for themselves. I don’t speculate or talk about what I heard or what the manufacturer said about things that I don’t have. If you wanna know about the other presses you gotta go find a video on those. I don’t have them and I don’t know anything about them. The companies that sell these things say a lot of stuff. I’m giving advice not on when the companies claim but what I actually know to be true. Some are thread-able some aren’t. People need to know that. Those others you mentioned I do not have so I don’t have an opinion on any of them. I’m sure they are great and press shirts fine. Idk. You gotta go find a detailed video on those or if you have them you should make a video about your experience. I’m talking about what I know. That’s it. People say a lot about a lot of things. I like to see things and experience them for myself. Companies claim alot to make a sale. I’m just here to help the people and not speculate.

    Hi could you tell me how long it takes to heat up. I ordered the HPN series 16x24 and have had nothing but issues. When setting the temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit it took over an hour and would only reach 328. It’s been a nightmare and cs is ridiculous. I won’t be ordering from them again but I am looking at the Ricoma and Heat Transfer Warehouse. Just wondering how long they take to heat.
