    Am I the only one who uses the metal strip and screws it to the cement and then snaps the t molding into place?

    • @Youdoit_DIY
      @Youdoit_DIY  Před 3 lety +2

      no, that what most people do...
      gluing the channel will hold much better as it will grab the entire surface vs just a few spots here and there, plus no drilling is required

    Do you have to remove the groove on the flooring before installing the t-mold?

    Was the tile and flooring the same height? Or did you need a reducer? Thanks !

    Do you not have to worry about moisture problems if gluing the transition down? I plan on doing this, but that was my concern. My moisture barrier would have to stop right along with the floor before the transition piece. Drilling it in would allow me to put the moisture barrier underneath the strip also, but I'd honestly rather not drill if I don't have to. Thanks.

    We are installing rigid vinyl in our kitchen and later we will remove the tile in dining room and continue the vinyl. Is the glue down transition ok to use if we plan on removing it later?

    Please Dan, what is the thickness of your tile you used for this transiting project?

    • @Youdoit_DIY

    What if my t strip is metal instead of plastic? Can I still use the Roberts 7200?

    • @Youdoit_DIY
      @Youdoit_DIY  Před 4 lety

      probably not... I'd test it first or use a construction adhesive that bonds to metal

    What about the expansion of the tile? Shouldn't the channel be midway in between?
