- In this video I show you how you can use scoring your projects elements and it looks like you’ve engraved it. This is a huge time saving for items like ornaments that have an engraved border. This technique was done on a Thunder Bolt 30 watt Rf laser. This video also teaches you allot about how your max and min power settings work. This video is meant for co2 lasers.

I gotta admit, I thought you were going to discuss the floodfill function. You have taught me another way to improve my work. Thanks Robert. Congrats on the upcoming milestone!!
Yes flood fill is very hard on co2 gantry lasers
Thanks!
No problem!
Weel done, one of the best yt channel on laser engraving! Thank you.
Wow, thanks!
Good insights here Robert. Thanks for putting this together.
Glad it was helpful!
EXCELLENT! Thank you for all the great info you put on your channel.
My pleasure!
Thank you. Great tip!
You're welcome!
Am I missing something here. Why didn't you use Offset Fill?
Offset fill is made for diode lasers and are very hard on co2 gantry machines.
@@computercreationz I haven't found anywhere in the LB documentation indicating the Offset Fill is only for diode lasers. I use it a lot on my Laguna MX80. As far as I can see it is doing the same thing that you accomplished with your technique. Show me the way, if I'm wrong.
Why do you believe that it is hard on a gantry machine? A diode laser is also built on a gantry system.
@@lindseyjohnson1130 you are right! I got confused with flood fill! Flood fill is very hard on gantry machines because of all the very short movements it requires. Offset fill is a different method
Nice.. maybe when I can use lightburn on my laser it will help me. Right now I have to run coreldraw and it is a challenge
Best of luck!
Isn't that the offset fill function that you can select?
You can use offset fill but I find this is more reliable because you cave control over the spacing of the lines and offset fill you don’t.
@@computercreationz In the offset fill you can adjust the space between lines with the interval option and have the control
Interest methodic.
But, how it can into CorelDraw?
sorry I don’t design in Corel Draw.
It is fair to say this would be beneficial for circles, but that would be a totally unacceptable result for the state. It's ok for some methods to be used only in certain situations. It's then just another tool for the toolbox. Thanks!
Interesting you mention slate, I know several people that use this method exclusively on slate. As a matter of fact the person that I shouted out for this idea does allot of slate this way. Thanks for your comment!
