    tested with front, middle and back grip, vy useful. can try T3 or lower part of the board

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      Why T3? Obviously I am not a natural middle or rear gripper so I only do it to get some idea of how it may work for others but as with any dart ultimately you will need to find out for yourself if it will suit you but hopefully the review can help with your decision making :)

    Great review again Darren , as I use the phase 3's & am still getting used to the slimness of them I am now putting middle fingertip on the bull nose end of the dart & it's steadying the balance , those p4's would have me regripping all over again lol :)

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety +2

      Thanks Michael :) I think if you have got more settled with the P3 its probably best to stick with them :)

      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      Thanks mate! Would love to review the new RVB 50 but they wont be available to buy in the UK and the price is a bit steep so not made my mind up yet as it will cost a little more for delivery too. Might ask Unicorn if they will send a review sample :)

    I have already tried phase 4 of gary anderson and I was attracted by them after the tournament at dubai against van gerwen and one of my friends had a set and I was able to try them and I already did 180 with them in practice and I recommend his darts but phase 3 is better.

  • @CoreySamuelBurton464
    @CoreySamuelBurton464 Před 7 lety

    Do they feel much different to the phase 3s, mate? Only cause I'm loving my phase 3s but I just missed the tapered end of a dart?

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      Well I think I prefer the P3 overall, these are a little thicker and longer so although I usually prefer a slightly thicker barrel I think the bull nose and the slightly shorter length of the P3 suited me better. :)

    • @AidenLFC
      @AidenLFC Před 7 lety +1

      Darts Review Channel i did but they got ruffed up over time because at the time they were my go to darts so I sold them on, but I'm looking forward to testing the phase 4 and seeing are they any better than the ultracores but man the ultracores are an amazing dart

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      Its a good way to try different weights and balance set ups but the fact they have 4 inserts in means they are long which is my only gripe with them. Having said that I have kind of been throwing well with these P4 the last couple of days but I shortened my drawback a little and its not always easy to get into a consistent groove with them.

    • @AidenLFC
      @AidenLFC Před 7 lety

      Darts Review Channel yeah the fact that they come in 23g is even better for me because that's my preferred weight but I also think the short stems would be better for this type of dart

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety +1

      yeah I tried some and the short stems were good but they seemed to suit the tweenies even better for me which was a surprise, the mediums are just a little too much but they still felt effortless to throw even with little drawback.

    Unicorn are fine darts.
    Their packaging is a big let down however.
    May be why Target is after getting most top players.
    Good video as most darts are bought without seeing them until they arrive.
    Thanks .

    Great review Darren, totally agree that gen 3 were long never mind these ones! Think the javelin Steve cram threw in the olympics was only slightly longer than those darts!😂

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      Thanks Mark! LOL yeah they do feel like mini spears but quite effortless to throw, started playing well with them once I got used to the length though.

    • @markqueen8507
      @markqueen8507 Před 7 lety

      My throw is similar in action to Anderson, taking the dart under my eye and I struggled with the gen 3 a bit with length never mind the extra long gen 4, around 50mm or under is max for me with short stem setup, not got the lowest arms 😂

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      50mm used to be too long for me, but I think my throw has still been changing and I tried more straight barrel darts and then slightly longer ones and started to get more used to them, I think 48mm is still a sweet spot for me though.

    • @markqueen8507
      @markqueen8507 Před 7 lety

      Totally agree Darren, just about the perfect length, that's why I recommended those koltzov darts as they are 46mm and 6.2mm diameter I think, only downside is they only come in 21g

      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      samuel kerruish aim a rear griper. I really like the Monster Barrel Helios 2 18g

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      There is lots to choose form but as I dont know how you hold or throw the dart its not always easy to recommend, I would check this thread in the forum and see what other rear grippers are using: dartsnutz.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=20089 also look at players with a rear grip and see which ones are similar to your grip and throw. Most straight barrel darts will suit any style of grip and some rear grippers like Steve Beaton use a front weighted dart.

      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety +3

      Yeah I guess so but they always charge more for the higher profile players, they know people will still buy them, does not make it right but that seems to be the worrying trend with a lot of the darts now sadly.

    The grip is somewhat similar to the MCoy Max. Must say though, with these Anderson darts you don't get much for your money. Looks like you pay for the name.

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      Yeah its quite a common style of grip but I think Unicorn started it first but not 100% sure on that. As with all the players darts your pretty much paying for the name really.
