  • I finally get the motor soldered into the 1/32 scale slot stox car in this episode. I have also been busy with some chassis modifications. In this episode you can also see how I set up the gear mesh and maintain the correct backlash.

Another great "Tech Tips" video. When I am making axle spacers I slip the brass tube over a axle and secure in place with a drop of superglue. Then place the axle in a the chuck of a electric drill. Then hold a file against the brass tube as I power up the electric drill. A bit of heat will then allow the brass to be slid free of the axle.

Loving these slot stox videos. My stock car era this so saw the real thing back in the day. I was a Smithy fan though. Brilliant macro photography. All the best from Birkenshaw.

Thanks for watching. I always liked the battles between Lund, Elwell and Wharton in the F1 stocks. I loved the F2’s too and supported Sworder and Speaky. I also worked with Rob Speak on his ASCAR at Rockingham Raceway.

I didn’t think they did 1/8” collars but I will take a look. Thanks.

@@CleaveTech my bad. They make 3mm collars (i use them) but it should be pretty easy to drill them out to 1/8"
