  • In this video I talk about the difference between live in vs live out au pair life. I have been an au pair in Paris and in a small french village, Albi. Living in vs living out are two very different experiences, and it's important to find a situation that is going to work well for you!

Heey girl! I'm Mexican and I'm thinking to be an au pair in France. I found your channel and you have very useful videos, thank you so much❤️

Au pair in lockdown right now and watching these videos 😅 This looks so good tho - what camera/microphone do you use? Also, which editing software is it?

I use my phone to film, I don’t think I used a mic on this one but when I do it’s just a $10 lapel mic I got off of Amazon plugged directly into my phone! This was edited on LumaFusion on my iPad mini (iPad mini was a gift but cost $400 new, LumaFusion $40). Now I edit on Final Cut Pro. You don’t need crazy equipment to get started! 🙂

Hi! I know you posted this a long time ago, but I'd love your opinion on the ideal situation that I'm ponderin'. My boyfriend and his friend are tailing me abroad to pursue their graduate degrees. Ideally, I'd like to live with them (keeps costs down and I've lived with my boyfriend for 2 years). Is there any potential for the host family to be a guarantor for housing that you choose? Also, do you typically find live-out options through agencies?

Hello! Typically the host family owns the apartment their au pair lives in. It can be very difficult to find a family that will let a boyfriend live in the apartment too, and I’ve never heard of 3 people living in a chambre de bonne together... I don’t know if it would be physically possible because they are so small.
Live out options are plentiful on au pair world, I’ve never been through an agency so I can’t speak to that.
