You know, the first time they did this on music show, the first thing that came thru my mind was: “Wow, bighit really let them do anything huh? Or are they gonna get a good slap after this? Lol”
I mean at that time, cool image is everything especially for idol groups. And BTS has been already a mess even from their debut, an amazing mess 😂
THIS is why they are so loved. They show us their silly carefree side, their pain/frustration, their drive/hard work, their humanity and so much more all the time. Their goodness shines through. Journey on!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
They have always been very open with their fans. They just love the energy as much as the fans do. They used to stay REAAAAALLY long after their concerts to say goodbye. They do tons of little extras (posting, streaming, mock radio) to connect. I remember they had a month vacation (they have vacations but this was the longest they all had at one stretch) and while the US rags were screaming that they were possibly breaking up, my Weverse (their social media platform) notifications were BLOWING UP. I had to take off notifications bc they would post and chat just to hang out with fans.
This is exactly why I love them so much because they are just normal and don't care about being rich and famous they just want to enjoy things and be silly 💜
These encores are after they win on the south korean comeback shows… its like multiple promotions shows, its around 4 show stages a week, if you are promoting 1 song. Most groups do it for two weeks. BTS one their first win with “I need you” and it was huge for them… you must have high scores of stuff like sns - youtube views. Digitals - downloads of song/sales physicals - album salses. Most shows also have pre votes on apps like mubeat/showchamp and also live votes on app or by text.
Dynamite won on these shows for 7 months. It is said to be very hard on the artists to do these shows, many have start recording at 3 in the morning etc. BTS stopped attending these shows when army could’t be their do to the corona stuff.
They are basically just goofy dorks! And we love them for it!
One thing about BTS- they are genuine and yet still humble. The biggest group on the planet, and this is them ! You don’t get ego and pretense.
First…..You’re exactly right, a lot other artists don’t show enough of what their real personalities are, that’s the best thing about BTS and Army we are more connected than any other group/band/artist, and their not afraid to show us part of who they are it’s not only the polished version we see in music videos or performances, they show that we don’t have to be perfect!

They are the most genuine, unspoilt, full of mischief “superstars” on the planet - they somehow remain humble despite massive success (probably because they work so hard and struggled for so many years), and I think somewhere on their journey, they decided to just enjoy the ride as much as possible, and counteract the hard work and stress with as much fun as possible. Can you imagine going clubbing with them? I am a rubbish dancer but I would love nothing more than hitting the dance floor with all seven of them - it would be so much fun, the memories would last a lifetime - and I think that is what they are doing, they are living a life less ordinary (as the expression goes) and they are making memories for when it all stops or they get too old…💜💜
The guys are always very funny and that's because they're transparent... They don't care about looking good but enjoying the moment.

I love how funny they are, carefree, don't care to look cool! I have watched other videos where other idols are just in amazement on how carefree BTS is. I think BTS is teaching other idols, they don't have to take themselves too serious! BTS, just love BTS!!!!

This is why I love bts lol like no other kpop artist would be able to act like this all the time and it’s a shame! Even the term “idol” referring to them and what’s expected of them… they want them to be flawless physically, gorgeous and never make mistakes or they will be looked down upon and could even be let go from their company from the smallest things. Bts being in bighit which was a barely there agency gave them all the artistic and creative freedom probably more out of necessity than anything lol not having the money to pay writers, producers, composers…. So IMO he created a group that was able to be both of those things… suga and rm both helped produce the earlier albums and suga was brought into bighit as a producer initially… bc they know exactly what they were doing not just on stage but in creating the music and managing themselves in a lot of ways. So them having success and being genuinely themselves was exactly what bang pd wanted… and he wanted to create a completely different kind of idol to heal others with their music… it’s beautiful IMO. So like they had set backs bc they were a smaller company with no money… but they also were so much freer than the bigger company groups that have to comeback with instant bangers in every sense and could not have one hair out of place … they would have never gotten away with this. I love that for them and absolutely prefer them and the way they are… so silly and carefree and even though they had to climb this uphill battle… I’m glad they could be themselves so openly sometimes and get out all that rowdy crackhead energy lol I love how weird they are and think it drew me to them more bc of it 😂 they’re just amazing humans all around

they're just being themselves! K "Idols" or maybe most artists in the world would try to be pretty/flawless in front of camera, you don't see them doing these things.
Some group might have 1-2 members being always playful but not a whole group like BTS!
Not only themselves would do such silly things and they would have angry PD/agency company once they off the stage - obviously BigHit/HYPE gives them such freedom to be themselves. LOVE them! (there's no STOBBING it XD)

I don’t know if anyone has explained, but sometimes they’ll make promises to fans that if they win an award on the music show, they’ll do X thing during the encore
eg. take their shoes off, sing lying down, fill the trophy with water and drink it etc
