  • Chapter 48 - Falling head - Variable Head Permeability Method
The property of the soil which permits the water or any liquid to flow through it through its voids is called permeability. It is the ease with which water can flow through the soils.
Falling head or Variable Head method is suitable for fine grained soils which are relatively less pervious because of their poorly connected voids.

In these videos, could you also mention the real-world purpose of the results of these tests? Like, why knowing the permeability constant for a soil sample can help the engineers in the field? Love the way you explain these, but also just kinda missing the real-life application of these test results.
