I have the same problem of being short in stature, and having a bck problems that causes painful muscle spasms when my arms are out in front of my body for long, like cooking, cleaning, dishes, etc. AARGH! Add to that, countertops are too high, and I am very uncomfortable--but cooking is my hobby and I LOVE it! Get yourself a stool, or a long box that is easy to move--FIX the problem! Your life will be much more pleasant, I guarantee it! It takes a while to get used to stepping up, and maybe avoiding a short step stool, BUT. Try it! It can be a literal lifechanger!

My friends and I were able to see Suzume in theaters while it was showing in the US, and I think I liked it even more than Your Name. All of Makoto Shinkai's films are amazing! But I think my favorite movie is either Castle in the Sky or Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind :)
I also saw Suzume in theaters, but the one that I think tops Your Name (for me, at least), is Weathering With You, which I also managed to see in theaters that January before the pandemic lockdowns. I like its story more, but Your Name I think had more songs I liked from its soundtrack (not to detract from Weathering With You's soundtrack, though. "Great Escape" is amazing and I had the biggest obsession with "We'll Be Alright", enough that Spotify pointed out it was my most listened to song that year by a country mile 😅.

I loved Your Name and From up on Poppy Hill both so much. Fantasy stories are great, but there is something so special about movies like Poppy Hill and Whisper of the Heart that are stories that are very realistic, yet turn them magical.

I'll admit to preferring the fantasy Ghibli movies, but From Up on Poppy Hill is one of my absolute favourites! It's just got such a wonderful vibe and low stakes drama, and I love the historical setting of the 60s. Also the English dub is very bittersweet, as Shun Kazama was voiced by Anton Yelchin, who tragically passed away in 2016 when he was only 27. I normally listen to the original Japanese with English subs, but I love being able to hear Anton's voice 💜 You recreated these so well, my mouth is watering 😍

What a great idea, to recreate bento from movies! They all looked so good!1 And the sukiyaki looks and sounds delicious; I've never had it before but, gosh, I definitely want to try it now 😃 Studio Ghibli films always seem to make all food look delicious. I remember my first time watching Spirited away and thinking "wow, that's some tasty looking food!" 🤣 My week has been on the stressful side unfortunately. My pet rabbit, Charlie, had an eye infection so there was a lot of worry over her and giving her medicine. Giving medicine to a reluctant rabbit is not easy! 😅Fortunately the medicine has worked and her eye looks much better so the coming week should be much less worrisome for me!

Anime food always looks so good! I heard that anime studios started to compete to draw the best food, after one anime drew a really bad cabbage haha I also watch some Ghibli films to get up and get my house tidy, Totoro always makes me feel industrious!

I'd never heard of it before she showed me her DVDs, and I really enjoyed them. I like to draw, so I bought their book of costume and art design (Cirque du Soleil: 25 Years of Costumes). I still flip through it from time to time. I've never been to one of their shows though.

Lovely! I have fond memories around Your Name because it was a rare opportunity that a cinema here played it! Anime movies usually never come to cinemas around here. I love watching your channel, all the food and presentation is amazing. I love watching anime food it’s amazing to think how someone drew that. What got me into anime was sailor moon and spirited away when I was little. Spirited away was the first anime I ever watched and I was hooked. I was fortunate enough to go to the spirited away theatre in London after their success in Japan and it was a fantastic production.

The sukiyaki beef looks so delicious!! I'm so happy for Husband-san who got to enjoy it, as he deserves. 💖 Also, even if you think it was too much, I enjoyed the portion where you shared your bento boxes! I'm in awe that you managed to save your Miffy box and that it was still in such good condition. You take such good care of your things, Hanako-san! Also, just to share, the concept of bento boxes don't really exist here. If we want to buy food for shows, they normally come in disposable boxes and plastics. As for our packed lunch, we have to put them in containers that retain heat or containers that can be safely microwaved as most of our local cuisine requires food to be eaten warm. But thanks to Hanako-san, I've been trying to pack my lunches more creatively when I can! 🤭 Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and your creations with us again! Wow! What a video! 😁 I haven't watched any of those movies - I'll have to see where I can find them. The food looked yummy, as usual 🙂 Yesterday I made a Honey Mustard Chicken stir-fry in my wok, and made rice to go with it. I boiled two eggs in the rice cooker with the rice, and they turned out well, although no runny yolk. The downside: rice stuck to the shell, and peeling one of the eggs was a bit painful 🤣 I have another serving in the fridge for tonight. Oh, as for movies, I forgot to mention the Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers, the second and third movies I found the funniest :)

I really love watching you making bento box because I'm huge fan of it you can find them on train station both adult and children will love I'm more of a anime bento box fan because you can try turning bento box into making anime version one you can see in old and new anime they have bento box in they episode and movie including anime that focus on cooking theme the difference between crossovers reality real life vs anime version one 😅 but if you make a bento box out of anime is still taste like the one you can imagine on eating on anime is like yourself transfer into anime dimensions 😂 and anyway keep up the great work on what you doing and don't pay attention to any mean comment what they said about your channel.just forces on what you love 😊

I'll admit to preferring the fantasy Ghibli movies, but From Up on Poppy Hill is one of my absolute favourites! It's just got such a wonderful vibe and low stakes drama, and I love the historical setting of the 60s. Also the English dub is very bittersweet, as Shun Kazama was voiced by Anton Yelchin, who tragically passed away in 2016 when he was only 27. I normally listen to the original Japanese with English subs, but I love being able to hear Anton's voice 💜

Studio Ghibli films always seem to make all food look delicious. I remember my first time watching Spirited away and thinking "wow, that's some tasty looking food!" 🤣
My week has been on the stressful side unfortunately. My pet rabbit, Charlie, had an eye infection so there was a lot of worry over her and giving her medicine. Giving medicine to a reluctant rabbit is not easy! 😅Fortunately the medicine has worked and her eye looks much better so the coming week should be much less worrisome for me!

4:42 I had a friend when I was in my twenties who loved Cirque du Soleil. I'd never heard of it before she showed me her DVDs, and I really enjoyed them. I like to draw, so I bought their book of costume and art design (Cirque du Soleil: 25 Years of Costumes). I still flip through it from time to time. I've never been to one of their shows though.
Wow!! I too like their costume and art design! They have a different theme each time and I never get tired of their costumes and stage sets!
The best thing my husband and I saw was a stage called Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities‼ Their performance was far beyond our imagination!

Lovely! I have fond memories around Your Name because it was a rare opportunity that a cinema here played it! Anime movies usually never come to cinemas around here. So i went with my mom to see it and it was a great bonding experience for us :) my mother liked it a lot and we talked about the yummy looking food in the movie afterwards

I love watching your channel, all the food and presentation is amazing. I love watching anime food it’s amazing to think how someone drew that. What got me into anime was sailor moon and spirited away when I was little. Spirited away was the first anime I ever watched and I was hooked. I was fortunate enough to go to the spirited away theatre in London after their success in Japan and it was a fantastic production.
I am SO Jealous of your cirque du soleil! I only ever got to see one, and they never had something like that.

The sukiyaki beef looks so delicious!! I'm in awe that you managed to save your Miffy box and that it was still in such good condition. You take such good care of your things, Hanako-san!
Also, just to share, the concept of bento boxes don't really exist here. If we want to buy food for shows, they normally come in disposable boxes and plastics. As for our packed lunch, we have to put them in containers that retain heat or containers that can be safely microwaved as most of our local cuisine requires food to be eaten warm. But thanks to Hanako-san, I've been trying to pack my lunches more creatively when I can! 🤭

Wow! What a video! 😁 I haven't watched any of those movies - I'll have to see where I can find them. The food looked yummy, as usual 🙂 Yesterday I made a Honey Mustard Chicken stir-fry in my wok, and made rice to go with it. I boiled two eggs in the rice cooker with the rice, and they turned out well, although no runny yolk. The downside: rice stuck to the shell, and peeling one of the eggs was a bit painful 🤣 I have another serving in the fridge for tonight.
Oh, as for movies, I forgot to mention the Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers, the second and third movies I found the funniest :)

I have not tried this yet, but I've heard that you can wrap the eggs in aluminum foil and cook them in a rice cooker. It might also make it easier to peel the shells off!!

I really love watching you making bento box because I'm huge fan of it you can find them on train station both adult and children will love I'm more of a anime bento box fan because you can try turning bento box into making anime version one you can see in old and new anime they have bento box in they episode and movie including anime that focus on cooking theme the difference between crossovers reality real life vs anime version one 😅 but if you make a bento box out of anime is still taste like the one you can imagine on eating on anime is like yourself transfer into anime dimensions 😂 and anyway keep up the great work on what you doing and don't pay attention to any mean comment what they said about your channel.just forces on what you love 😊
