    If you look on the back of the instruction manual there is a little diagram that shows you where the extra nozzles go. As a previous comment states - orange is for "wet" foam, grey for intermediate and green for dry.
    Hope this helps!

    The colored bits that you change to change the foam characteristics are changed from the hose thats inside when you unscrew the reservoir. As for the reservoir size it is a litre but I believe it even says in the little instructions included that your max fill is the .75 L mark, that's why you lose the pressure so fast too.

    I use my IK 1,5 Foamer with Bilt Hamber Surfex dilluted at 10% to clean my wheels on maintenance washes. I only fill up to 0,75 L in the bottle, as this gives more air in the bottle to foam longer. I use the orange tip as this gives a wet foam. (Green for dry and grey for "normal"). As Anthony from the Rag Company in the epsiode with Matt from Obsessed Garrage about foamers, he mentions that Matt uses to much product, as i feel can be seen in your video here. With a wet foam aswell the product should run a bit more, meaning you can use less product on the wheel and let it run/dwell. Also love using my foamer for coin washes as i can foam up my wheels, lett it dwell for some time and then rinse for the quick washes during the winter.

    I have the iK Foam pro 2. For context, I’m an apartment dweller with no access to running water. Honestly, this product is hype. You don’t _need_ foam to get the job done. If you want/need foam this is for you. But, if you’re cleaning wheels in the parking lot just use a trigger sprayer and an APC.

    I bought a Gloria Foam Master (made in Germany, under £20 on Amazon) and it is great for using with a Waterless wash product like Prokleen when the car is dirtier. It gives more lubrication and helps encapsulate dirt more safely. You can Rinse the car, foam with Prokleen, wipe with a microfibre cloth and follow that with Last touch or Sonax BSD for a fantastic finish. If the car is not so dirt just skip the rinsing part. Always use common sense though when doing a Waterless wash.

    Jon, just bought the IK Foamer and the Multi. The foamer is ideal for wheels and the more intricate areas & I also use it with a strong solution of ONR as a pre wash to foaming the car. I tend to use the multi for applying Bead Maker, much better for me than the trigger sprays. As for the quality of foam, it does depend on the product. I like Adams wheel cleaner but its not great at foaming in the IK foamer so trying other products now.

    Hey, I use something similar for two years. Actually the mechanism stands tough. You can find a beter way of setting up this stuff. You do not need your foam that thick. You can use less of a felt in the nozle and get thiner, more wet foam and better performance/coverage from your pumping. I also noticed, most of the foams if you are after the cleaning power, are working better when I spray thicker not aiming for a creamy snow ball effect ;)
    Using 2l one this is just enough for a compact car prewash. Solid product. I am considering geting bigger one, about 3l, so I can pump more air from the beggining ;)
    The best results meaning removing dirt and loosing road film, I got with tac system foam and polish tenzi neutral foam. Now I am ordering bilt hamber on your recommendation. For the winter I tend to add a bit of green star stuff to get rid of a salt.

    I’ve recently invested 2 Multi 1.5 (effectively the same sprayer without the gauzes) and they are very good compared to your run of the mill pressure sprayers you would buy.
    I’m using mine for iron decon with Bilt Hamber Korrosol in one and wheel cleaning with AutoGlanz Alkalloy in the other. I’ve found that overall they are of value to me as they allow for a more even distribution of product with the fan nozzle on.
    My only criticism is that due to the aeration of product in the chamber when you release that pressure it can cause bubbles of product to come past the relief valve.
    I’ll likely buy a foamer for applying wheel shampoo as I have a Spear & Jackson 5 litre (thanks to you 👍🏻) pressure sprayer for pre wash duties.

  • @Planehazza
    @Planehazza Před 4 lety

    The fuller it is with product the less pressure you can get in it due to the fact that you can connect compress liquids. This is why you it appears you don't need to pump it as much when full, but really it is because the pressure dissipates more quickly. Keep it under half full and pump it more and you'll have better pressure.

    I'm not sure if this is what you did. But the way you are supposed to pump it is to pump until the pressure release bleeds excess pressure off. The 1.5 liter is total container capacity. But you can only fill it to ~1 Liter because you need room for the air. Hand pump foamers suffer from using a lot of air to get only a small amount of product out. Their Multi 1.5 which is just a pressure sprayer lasts forever on a single pump session.

    he simply drilled a hole on the very top of the bottle and did put a standard tirevalve thru it, fixed it inside with a nut and sealed it with o-rings and then powered it with a battery driven tiny but relatively capeable tire pump he attached to. the tiny lil pump did build up pressure inside the container and he foamed his entire car like a boss in no time. lol. i first thought this guy was a fkn nicola tesla kinda guy till he told me that 'everybody' does it that way on yt. :)))

      sometimes the glue can etch the clear almost like bird droppings. you can get like discoloration of the clear as well, Ive even seen this swell the clear all the way through before over a long period of time. If your compounding it and its not improving you might well not be able to fix this but its very hard to say without seeing it.

      Ive shot another video on this. you definetly blast through a lot of product with the foamer. a lot of that foam its not doing anything if its mega thick. but saying that sometimes its nice. time will tell for me with it I think. part of the fun is just seeing if you use it or not but who knows.

  • @MrBarryaird
    @MrBarryaird Před 5 lety

    It’s not for me. I don’t see it lasting, in more than one sense. For a start it’s not viable in a speed sense as you’d be far quicker just using a Chem-res trigger in a bottle and spraying your wheels, and using a 5L pump sprayer with a wand for things like TFR or citrus pre wash. I also don’t see it holding up well as you mentioned when it’s full of product. That spout “nipple” is going to shear off. I see it happening. It’s also bloody expensive for what it is !

    Can’t see the point in this, might as well use the pressure washer snow foamer, the eBay version cost next to nothing, bottles cheaper again if you want to load multiple product. For just wheels I can’t see how foam would work any better than a cling gel product. Had a thought though, maybe a unit like this that you could connect to a air compressor, with a nitto type connector/ valve to get some real pressure in the bottle, but assume would require a bit more engineering than a simple plastic bottle pump.
